How to Dual boot --> Windows 2008 with Windows 7 x64

Guys,
I need to dual-boot Windows 2008 and Windows 7 x64
Please let me know the sequence or I need any special software's for it

I haven't really done dual-boot for ages now, so pardon my ignorance :ashamed:

just install win 7 after win 2008, just keep in mind that both the OS should be installed on different partitions.

It will automatically recognize the other OS and add it to the bootloader . Just install them on different partitions .

Yeah thats right... first install 2008 and then windows 7

But you can also give a thought to installing windows 7 and using virtual PC for running 2008 in it.

This would help you avoid dual booting.

But will running win server 2008 on VMware make it any slower ?

Surly it will, but do you really need server 2k8. I mean you are installing a server as a dual boot that means you are not intended to run it all time, right? So for what are you planning to use it.

If the rig you are running it on is the same as your sig, then you shall face no problems running it on VMWare.
