How to take backup from office laptop running on a limited account

FINALLY a company that actually believes in data security. This I love.[DOUBLEPOST=1365350887][/DOUBLEPOST]
Have you considered IT guys may just report your request to the management. I am sure if a company has gone to these lengths to protect its data, they would have given instructions to IT about it too.
First of all I was kidding about the tearing the lappy part. Second and most important is that the data is mine and my hard work. I don't want some other champ using it for his own advancement. Also I am not leaving the company, just shifting to another location in the same company. Also the data is not very sensitive. It's just that I created those excel and word files myself and not provided by company and of course I wouldn't want some new guy reaping the benefits. What's wrong in that

I was not talking about tearing the lappy apart, I was referring to the deletion and removal of data.

Your files ? Your work? I suppose the company never paid you for your time nor provide the resources for it. NOTHING on that lappy is yours, read the fine print.

Coming back to the original problem, since you are just relocating within the same company, all you have to do is - Tell the IT guys you have to move data to your new location, rest is their headache (and responsibility) how they do it.

It would have a DRM solution like Microsoft/ Adobe or IRM solution like Seclore. Even if you can copy data out, you will never be able to read/ access it outside the office IT environment.

If you've got access to a 2nd computer, install a web server on it, and transfer the files out via your browser or an ftp program.
