Linux How to use Icons(Linux Mint)

10 "Really Cool" Icon Sets for Ubuntu/GNOME Desktop | TechSource

Can someone guide me on how to install icons, I downloaded them and tried dragging them into the theme manager but I got the error that it is not a valid theme file tried extracting and did the same still the same error.

^^Maybe they have several zip inside the original zip/gz packages. Try peeking inside the zip before dragging

These are not native icons packs.the person to made them didn't had linux in mind. some are made for MAC os X too.so you will need to extract it and set them manually. drag & drop may not work

or goto gnome-look to get latest icon package for gnome:

and kde-look for kde
