And another main question is WHEN WILL THE 2ND ROUND BE because that is more important. These people sometimes put it on sale at like 2 AM Local time :|
raksrules said:Damn....I check my status on onSale website and it says DISCONTINUED...which means Cancel i guess.

Yesterday he went to local BB store before opening itself and fortunately he was 3rd in the queue got one . According to him they had only 20 16GB and first 20 people in the queue got it. Yes, BB had restriction of one item per buyer and there was huge queue it seems. Tomorrow he is going to ship to SnS address
I dont think you will get it now... according to him.. that store got only 20 pieces and first 20 people only got and all other were gone back even his colleagues tried it after 20 mins of his purchase.. but no success! My bro lives in Broomfield, CO. Shall i ask him to go looking for one?
smnrock said:Apparently the same friend got one from officemax on sunday itself(after i told him about this offer), but he has compared it with his ipad2 and felt its bulky/ugly. Hence returned it . But before returning he didnt tell me, since it was night for me. Then morning i told him...i need it at any cost.. but it was already too late to go and get back that

Thank you for your recent purchase with DirectDial.com for a HP Touchpad Tablet Computer with webOS.
In the AM of Tuesday, August 23rd, we were advised of the tremendous price decrease on the various HP Touchpad models. After posting the revised price to DirectDial.com we were inundated with orders. By the close of business DirectDial.com had sold over 7,000 units. We have been overwhelmed with the popularity/success of this promotion, as has Hewlett-Packard Canada.
Your order has been received by our system and therefore you are in the HP Canada Touchpad queue. This is not a guarantee we will be able to ship your order. Your credit card has not been charged any fees. Your credit card will not be billed until the order has been confirmed for shipment to you.
Over the last several days there has been a lot of miss-information on the quantities available of the various Touchpad models from both HP Canada and our various authorized distributors. It is therefore very difficult to project the number of units we will be able to secure over the next week or so. We are currently working with HP (Canada) to secure as many units as we can to fulfill the current orders in our system. All orders will be shipped on a first-come/first-shipped basis and limited to 1-unit per customer as stock is allocated.
According to our information, the Canadian market is receiving several thousand Touchpad units next week. All are spoken for and many will be shipped to DirectDial.com and other major authorized HP retailers. At this point we don’t know if there will be another shipment into Canada or when. However we have been advised there is inventory in transit from overseas. Again it is unclear how reliable this information is. At this time we are not accepting any new orders on HP Touchpads.
As orders begin shipping we will contact you via phone to ensure you still wish to receive your order. If you wish to cancel your order please forward an e-mail to touchpads@directdial.com with “Please cancel order confirmation number Your Order Number†in the heading. We will reply confirming your cancellation.
Personally I have been a part of the computer industry for over 25 years. In that time I do not believe I have witnessed an event quite like this. We appreciate your patience in this most unusual time in our industry.
Regards,
Greg Bruzas

Just ask him to compare Ipad price and this price
Who say we are buying it for the super advanced graphics engine or out of the world graphical interface or hardware
Ask him which is the next best option in 99 and 149
Even if it weighed 5 kgs then also everyone would had taken it
At this time the shipping techs have decided to call it the day and take the trucks along at the main center - my understanding is that if they will not be able to configure the XML feed in our e-commerce from their specific shipping and tracking servers they will fall back on the original order Id numbers (as primary) and the confirmation numbers (time stamp) as backup. Seems the viable solution is for them to give another try tomorrow morning at 7:30AM EST otherwise all orders will be sent out as described in the backup plan
