Well, anything less the Galaxy S5 is a bonus. In my opinion, with the M8, HTC has hit the ball out of the park, be it the pricing, the expected build quality or the extremely intuitive UI. All in all it is a much better package than the S5.

The only thing where S5 is winning over M8 is the outdoor shots. In low light the M8's camera is still better.

If given a choice I would upgrade to M8 rather than S5.

Choice meaning bank balance or in case of phones.

Xperia Z2 is coming soon and LG G3 is also not far off. Both will be good choices.
