only few like urs are have this issue. might be becoz the way u use it, for that u shud n't blame all 7200.11 drives.recent all 7200.11 drives are fixed with latest firmware.

before firmware update i had issues. after firmware update, it's been more than 6 month. running 24 x 7. so don't just blame on, simply we had problem..

How a user uses it has nothing to do with it! It is affected 7200.11 drives made in thialand before dec2008. And they have offered FREE Data Recovery for affected disks in US and Europe after this was giving them such a bad name.
