@OP

It does look like the RAM was working fine when he shipped it to you. May be the courier guys damaged it?

Please tell us whether the RAM happened to be damaged physically when it arrives at your side?

It wasn't damaged by the courier guys and I'm pretty much sure of that, he sent me back that one RAM stick, and it from no angle, was physically damaged.. and i'm pretty sure cuz it was packed inside that bubble wrap thing or whatever you call it.. plus another layer of protection from inside and then the decent outer box. So I can't imagine it getting damaged during transit.. and in any case, I had called up the courier guy just to ask him if anything wrong had happened during the transit.. and he told me a NO! It was DTDC dude, and you probably know they are one of the safest courier company's around..

^^ just a assumption dude. No one can simply trust by the name of DTDC, even i got my PC slightly damaged during their transit. Not happens all the time.

Now it @OP's turns. Let's see what's his stance.

can't agree with you anymore.. All I was trying to mention was that the RAM stick didn't even have a single scratch on it when it was sent back to me. So I highly doubt it was damaged during transit. That's all.

Read it carefully. I didn't say that ur shipment was damaged. I just say that we simply can't trust anyone by brand name. Hope u understand the difference. :D

^ Saw how's hes gotten inactive all of a sudden.

I'd request the mods to make sure this thing is not opened up again. He, himself, is not interested anymore after made the thing clear to everyone. Shows who's fault it was initially as well.

Yea, I do.
I remember taking these two pics:
1. http://i.imgur.com/32Kez.jpg
2. http://i.imgur.com/uDYKZ.jpg
And I had taken a backup of 'em (usually take a backup of the pics of the stuff I sell-off, just in case..)

@coolstone

Apparently, by your acts, it's being proved who's what. I can't be as CHEAP as you are being right now.. Atleast I don't friggin LIE! Get a Life dude!
just out of curiosity, why does the screenie say "Single channel" if there are two sticks of ram? Also there is no screenshot of the SPD info tab, so theres no proof this is the same RAM as the one you sent to the OP. Am not saying this is what happened, just a possibility?

no clue bout that. memory clearly says 4096mb. and as per what he told me, one ram wasn't working AT ALL and it detected 2gb of ram, thats all. Shows it was damaged at his end, not mine.

I just have one computer bro and I did take screenshots of the stuff before I sold it off to him. Plus the bill was sent later on as well, why would I buy brand new ram, open it, make it look sorta old and then sell it off to someone? :)

And ram wasn't the only thing sold off to him. It was sold off along with CPU and the Motherboard as well.

The CPUZ screenshot clear states the channel which is Single and not Dual which apollyon pointed out correctly. It should be Dual if 2 Ram Modules are installed and you should have posted this screenshot before. I think so that there is no end to the discussion and i don't know were it got damaged but i can assure it was not damaged at my end. IF you have tried and dealer is not replacing the RAM stating it to be faulty Why did'nt you atleast couriered it back.OK leave it now just Courier me back that faulty RAM now. No more excuses will be accepted. NO Probs i would pay for the courier as did before for sending it to you.
