You will have to use a USB male to female cable I am guessing. And have it routed below the HU. Just like how Amaze has done it in their stock HU.

Yes :) or you can run the cable to glove box, so that you can keep your HDD/pen drives in a discreet location
 
Left hand side, centre, those 4 dots, thats where the usb port is on pioneer. Mine is the previous model and thats where it is. Its a flip cap on my model. Still check @ store.
