Ideas and No Expertise?

What would you guys do if you have some ideas creeping up your head, and you dont have the knowledge/expertise on how to implement it? How would you go about it?

Yes, reading about it, gaining knowledge and then implementing it is the choice, but it would take lot of time to execute. And another option would be hire someone to do it, but what if that hired person steals your idea and gets away. This is how FB happened.

If it is commercially viable, prepare a business plan, and get in touch with venture capitalists

Put some personal effort into it and see what it is about really . Then you can think of the further steps but simply having an idea will not help . IMO.

If the idea is good, patent it. ASAP.

As far as the plan and all, you will first need to show it as viable, then you will get VC backers.

I don't think you can patent an Business idea...from what i know, u can patent only innovation/invention...

Thanks for the replies. I was looking for suggestions with say for example, I have an Android app to be created and released in the market. Would it be better to hire someone(freelancer) to build it ? Also trust issues come into picture, what if that person steals that app idea and release it by himself?

Just make an NDA(Non-Disclosury Agreement) and ask him to sign it. And try to hire the developer offline rather than some random person online!

If you learn it yourself you can do many more apps by yourself. Hiring for every idea you have may become costly.
