In one para : what's wrong with our modern diet.

I grind roasted peanuts with a pinch of salt.
I eat peanuts raw too. I roast them without salt. I just discovered that they roast very well (and evenly) in a microwave.
I have peanut butter (made by me) on toast every morning - I could live on toast+PB+marmalade and coffee LOL.
.. even you grind peanuts with salt how it turn into consistency that get spread & stick over toast/bread ... please share recipe for others who may using readymade Peanut Butter for healthy breakfast.

There is no reason to add salt.
PB we get online of good quality without any additives.

But if want to make it at home just roast and grind it in mixie. Keep grinding it and then oil will come out, eventually it becomes smooth. I did this a few times, but its too much effort, esp cleaning it afterwards.
Max say 1-2 teapsoons per serve, but its enough and very filling.
I like crunchy PB, where they add some pieces of peanuts to the butter.

Nothing to it.

Roast peanuts, the longer you roast it darkens more, and the taste will change accordingly. This you will decide as per your taste.

Put on a movie/TV serial ;-), sit and skin the cooled peanuts. I do 1 Kg at a time takes me 30 min - this is the only headachey part.

Grind in batches (1 Kg i divide into 3) in a mixer. I like it a bit granular. Longer you grind, smoother it will be. You decide.

I add a pinch of salt. In the past I have added a teaspoon of red chilly powder, nice too.

The advantage of doing this yourself is you get PB exactly as you like.
... and I don't really trust "factory food".
