The clip depicted a yellow liquid being mixed with red and orange food colouring, sugar syrup, and other chemicals in an industrial churning machine. The final product, which bears a resemblance to mango juice, is then bottled and packaged for distribution.

I have never seen this process in real life but isn't this how packaged fruit drinks supposed to be made?

99% of them say that they use some kind of concentrate. This concentrate can be in the form of powder or liquid. Then they have to add emulsifiers, coloring and preservatives to be able to keep the product on the shelves for months.

According to experts, consistent and long-term exposure to even some amounts of heavy metals like lead and cadmium can have a variety of health problems.
Lindt acknowledged that "lead and cadmium are unavoidable in the food supply." The company, however, has maintained that the trace amounts present in its products are within regulatory limits and do not qualify as significant safety violations.
The controversy began in 2022 when Consumer Reports published a study highlighting alarmingly high levels of lead in Lindt’s Excellence Dark Chocolate 84 per cent Cocoa, and cadmium in its Excellence Dark Chocolate 70 per cent Cocoa.

@Emperor This news link is about Indian vegetables, I mean we need to ensure food is safe, whether it's local or foreign.
People do trust imported food more because of purported higher standards in foreign countries than ours (and we know how difficult is ours). Instead of blindly believing that foreign imported food is better, such food needs to be tested and verified too so as to ensure quality.
