Video of tetra pack mango juice being manufactured goes viral. Internet calls it 'slow poison'
The clip depicted a yellow liquid being mixed with red and orange food colouring, sugar syrup, and other chemicals in an industrial churning machine. The final product, which bears a resemblance to mango juice, is then bottled and packaged for distribution.

Be cautious out there...

I have never seen this process in real life but isn't this how packaged fruit drinks supposed to be made?

99% of them say that they use some kind of concentrate. This concentrate can be in the form of powder or liquid. Then they have to add emulsifiers, coloring and preservatives to be able to keep the product on the shelves for months.

According to experts, consistent and long-term exposure to even some amounts of heavy metals like lead and cadmium can have a variety of health problems.

The controversy began in 2022 when Consumer Reports published a study highlighting alarmingly high levels of lead in Lindt’s Excellence Dark Chocolate 84 per cent Cocoa, and cadmium in its Excellence Dark Chocolate 70 per cent Cocoa.

@Emperor This news link is about Indian vegetables, I mean we need to ensure food is safe, whether it's local or foreign.
People do trust imported food more because of purported higher standards in foreign countries than ours (and we know how difficult is ours). Instead of blindly believing that foreign imported food is better, such food needs to be tested and verified too so as to ensure quality.

UP dairy trader makes 500 litre fake milk with 1 litre chemicals, held. Watch
A businessman in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr has been held after he created 500 litres of fake milk using one litre of chemicals. According to the authorities, Ajay Agarwal--the owner of Agarwal traders who deal in milk and milk products--would mix artificial sweeteners and flavours in the chemicals to make it seem like real milk. He has been accused of selling synthetic milk and paneer for 20 years.

I've had persistent cough for the last 25 days after a bout of viral fever in early Dec and was diagnosed with Allergic Bronchitis, it's probably the worst coughing I've ever experienced in my life. I've been on a combination of bronchodilators and steroids for the last 15 days but I'd still wake up in the middle of the night because of the coughing.
My mom insisted on me having some warm milk with a tsp of turmeric and honey before going to bed which I did for the last 2 nights and the relief it has provided has been remarkable, I was finally able to rest and sleep like a baby this weekend.
Something to note for the turmeric haters on this thread, sometimes age old remedies do indeed work in certain situations.

I had itching during winters, this season it was worst & google told me it is called winter itch, so tried the besan for bathing instead of soap, itching gone completely within 2 days. After that I started using Sunnipindi(non telugu speakers google it) home made, no more itching. This is first hand experience.

Western medicine is for immediate fixes or relief.
fixing the root cause only traditional/homeo/naturo/ayur(whatever you call it).

Remember there is NO one answer to all the questions, different body different fix. And nature always comes to your rescue.

What if we always feel hungry? There should be something that kills hunger.
Usually, eating a little something sour or something spicy or something tangy (a few grapes, a bite of a green apple, panipuri, slice of salted (or not) kokum, a few slices of an orange or sweet-lime or gooseberries), following it up by some water should stave off the craving.

This is also a good way to keep short-circuiting the craving for those with a sweettooth!

There is certainly wrong with modern foods (packed foods with preservatives) but more issue with modern medicines, they are help in emergency instantly but have long term side effects
