Plans that have been confirmed :=
If you are currently on the 900/256kb u get a bump in speed to 384 kbps
If you are on the 700/128kb u get a 100% boost to your speeds (256)
512kb/s is at 1499

Plans are confirmed only for Bangalore. Must call CC to activate the plans. Deadline is on the 21st of December. Good Luck and happy downloading ~ ~

What's the CC no. that you called up?

Any Info for us in good ol Hyderabad??

I have four Comps and four different connections.

Tataindicom boradband - 256Kbps

so far, it has had a few disconnections, but the upload speeds are really good. the downside is that they offer only Static IP

Stats:
Using since : 4 Months
No Of disconnections : 4
Response time for complaints : 24hrs (Max)
Price: 1112
BSNL Boradband - 256 Kbps - Unlimited

Bad bad bad upload speeds. 6-7kbps. Upside is that we have dynamic IP.

Stats:

Using since : 20 Months
No Of disconnections : 1
Response time for complaints : 48hrs (min)
Price: 990

Airtel - 256 Kbps - Unlimited

Best connection of the lot. Very few disconnections. Perfect uploads and downloads.

Using since: 20 Months
No of Disconnections : 8
Response time for complaints: 20mins
Price: 1000

Youtele - 2Mbps - 4GB Download limit

The worst of the lot. NEVER ever got the correct speed. Their Call center people do not know anything. They havent heard of Linux or Vista. The Calls to techsup are charged

Using since: 5 Months
No of Disconnections : 7
Response time for complaints: They never respond. the fact that you get connected is sheer luck
Price: 800

The upload limit is capped at 1/4 of your conenction speed in BSNL which is 64kbps in your case. Nothing much can be done about it.

I spoke to airtel CC here in chennai. After a lot of blabbering about how the plan was not introduced here, they said the free upgrade for existing 25kUL customers is available till december 21st. You need to send a mail to care.tamilnadu@airteltelephone.com to get the new plan activated.

I just sent a mail. Lets see what happens.

^^I called them up y'day too, they said no such plan is available here. Let me know once you get a reply for your mail. :)

Thanks for the good news buddy, am shooting a mail to them now :hap2:

@n00b. Thanks mate :hap2: . Got meself upgraded to 384 kbps UL from 256 UL. CC said rental would remain same but no free calls and call charges drop from 1Re to 0.95 paisa.

I called up CC and the CC operator said that she was unaware of any upgrade from 256 to 384. Well, she checked again and then said that it's a new plan of 384 UL.

So all of you folks out there, just say that you want to go for the new 384kbps UL plan @999/- rental if you are facing problem with CC. IMO, they should give the upgrade without even us having to call them.

I was on 64k unlimited plan.. getting 512k since yesterday... I am sure they cant give a 800% increase for free.Should I contact cc?
