nothing doing ! there is no such plan upgrade or any scheme going on, I called up CC twice (they have a a past of different outputs in different runs) to confirm that.
 
well it seems to be there in chennai atleast. my friend got the upgrade to 384kbps as well. i personally took the jump to 512k unlimited at 1499.

I don't know what's up with Airtel. Seems their doofus CC people don't know anything about it. I have to educate their CC everytime I call them on the plan. After checking, they come back to me saying that it's recently launched.

I got a call from CC today. Seems I've been upgraded to 384 kbps UL but I'm not getting that speed. Anyone actually seeing the difference in their download speeds after calling in?
 
^^Dude it needs 48hrs to migrate.So have some patience.

BTW Iam gettind around 600kbps on my 384kbps plan from few days!

i get 384kbps up but get only arnd 225 down.



anyway its way better than any plan right available right now. but their cc is completely ignorant about it. sending them a mail is the best way out.

And yes by the way is there any chance that the competitors would follow airtel in offering better UL plans ?...I am particularly interested in reliance since Airtel doesn't offer connection in my area and BSNL takes ages to finally give a connection...so I have to stick to Reliance :(
 
ill take even the smallest consistent speed increase without paying an extra buck... :bleh: bsnl may offer better d/l speeds but getting banned consistently on private trackers just because u cant upload what u download sucks. btw isnt reliance's plan already 300kbps?
 
they have 5 UL postpaid plans ATM , 75kbps for 400/-
150kbps for 750 ,300kbps for 1000/-, 600kbps for 1800/- and 1Mbps for 3000/-..... all prices excluding taxes....too bad I have the cheapest one for now.. :(
 
Just another HEADS-UP for ppl...

Since it takes 48hrs to migrate today the 19th by 6pm is the latest you can contact them to avail of this offer.
 
Calling the CC is better i think, as its the confirmation that the offer has been activated thats more important than just the request.
 
Well, I'm finally getting the much promised 384 kbps speed since yesterday :clap: . Seems they have to update the speed change in their billing software as well for the change to take effect...at least that's what the CC guy told me.
 
I am currently on the 999/- 256 UL plan on Airtel in Chn

I just called up the CC...
They did not have any 384 kbps upgrades though they did move me to the 750/- 256 ul plan
 
damn they are making me wait until the next billing cycle to chnage my plan :( they say that my plan is under business catagory :S maybe thats why I had 0 down time last 6 months :rofl:
 
Aah, this would explain why I've been getting ~48 kBps even past the night double-bandwidth time :hap2:
Will check with the CC anyways though.
