The battery and the card will die very soon. The heat will significantly affect the phone's life also. Whatever is saved in power and more will be lost in this way.

Btw I use Asus rt-n16 and an old maxtor 250gb external drive connected to it.

thats true n also by this more radiation power from ur phone as ur battery discharges very frequently.....
better use Asus one

@cyberwiz

Thanks for confirmation.

Can you please post few screenshot of mo services working on Asus Media players, Speed you get on torrents & number of torrents you can download at a time ?

I am using the NS K330 from dealextreme for torrents.It also has a debian lenny instance which allows me to run plowshare to get stuff from MU,RS basically the ones which don't have a captcha or the ones which are easy to break(I find these are much faster than torrents for me specially MU even on a free account).Though recently there seems to be a lot of filesystem corruption after I got a new Sandisk pendrive.Anybody else with K330 facing similar issues? .Oh I forgot to mention I am running Snake OS.Also what is the cheapest down loader available at the moment might need to buy one soon having an integrated media player would be a huge plus.

can any1 suggest me the cheapest/best/easily available solution to switch to the green side ? some good routers are preferred :)

no jtagging reqd

n16 is definitely better as it has overkill specs. However, rt n13u does JUST fine. it is just like any other. flashing isnt tough. you can do it. LOT of guides/ tutes/ forum resource out there..

But, buy this only if you have a router need impending, else, go for one of the media players as it will serve dual purpose..

from my personal requirement, i chose the wdtv live plus over rt n16, primarily because i already had a decent router

i think thats WD TV LIVE instead of live plus, all main diff i can see is just the netflix and other providers streaming in Live plus, so i think WD TV LIVE can also be used as normally for downloading purposes ?

For this purpose you need a WDTV Live or higher. The older version you linked in your previous post for 40$ will not work for downloading purpose AFAIK. It doesn't have an Ethernet port itself.

aaaah, phew i asked it here first :P

so i think the best option is have is the asus n13 router

I download on my o1 using tTorrent. Vodafone edge :) Usually keep it running through the night only. Charging continuously of course. I can download roughly 1 movie in about 8 to 9 hours. I prefer night time as any heavy usage of edge renders the phone unreachable (calls and messages)
