so i think the best option is have is the asus n13 router
it is a good option yes but not the best. the router lacks native support for ext3 FS(linux FS) which leaves us to go around and run an externel script to mount the usb hdd everytime the router is booted. this, although works most but not all the time.

can you guys tell me any bt nas which has space inside for a 2.5/3.5 sata hdd? budget within 4k max.
look at the goflex net buddy. it has two sata ports for 2.5" hdd and its a neat setup which can do a lot more. sitting the 2.5" hdd would require a little packing/support as its deisgned for the stock goflex slim hdd.

I have a friend here on TE who has an ASUS N13u setup with 160gb ext drive running as a perfect torrent box and network share, up for sale. I helped him set it up :p. anybody looking for a turn key download server setup can look at this post link

Great. Feels great in creating this thread.

This thread will reduce so much of power consumption & Save electricity :)

Few months back, friend just wanted to view HD movies & torrenting didn't work for me so sold it off.

If I am not wrong WDTV Live cant handle more then 2 torrents due to lower processing power.

Checking out Asus HD2 now.

Xtreamer-MK1 with ModPack. Its kind of one stop solution for me for all offline video needs.

Doing a smooth job since 2 years.

Thanks for confirmation.

AFAIK, B RAD works only on WDTV & WDTV Live.

Do you know if B RAD works on WDTV Live Hub 1 TB ?

After lots of observations, found DD WRT is the most common mod & Transmission is the most used client for such mods.

Are there any mods/devices which allows using UTorrent ?

nope, none allow utorrent for the wdtv. theres one rtorrent which is embedded in b-rad's custom fw. then there's transmission which you can run as an app.bin. transmission works really well.

well surprisingly so but, utorrent aint built for linux yet. transmission has the mass appeal and the ease of setup. coupled with its web gui, multiple clients for management and low footprint, is what renders it top notch. not to forget the fantastic community support.
