hi guys please tell a better option between these 2 processors intel q9450 or amd phenom ii 940be only in performance wise not price like gaming,benchmarks etc ...:S

with these benches the performance of both are at par, you can get whatever you want, just remember that the Intel Core 2 Quad series is EOL and not worth investing in anymore, but if you grab the AMD 940 you will end up with an AM3 socket board with decent headroom for upgrading later. Basically if OP is buying a motherboard will recommend him a AM3 based board, like the Gigabyte GA 785GM UD2H or equivalent so the upgrade curve should be covered.
