So one of my relatives is flying down from US around 14th Dec .. I am keen on getting a Ion based Netbook for myself from there ..
Currently only Models are aviable which are
HP Mini - $399/$499(Windows 7,2gb,250gb)
Samsung N510 - $599(Windows 7,2gb,250gb)

I have read the HP Mini reviews and all of them are of the opinon that it cam play games to an extent apart from HD Ouput and playback ..
But the only problem is that both of these Netbooks have ION LE and not the ION full fledged ..
So it worthwhile to get any of them from US now? Would the resale value go down drastically with the launch of Dual Atoms etc?

dual core atoms will come with 250gb hdd and 2gb ram (its intel dat has blocked the nb configs) and with a better gpu......

-i dont think its worth to invest $400 in a NB....the proc really sucks!!!....read the NB surveys,etc..........but with 16k in the pocket i cant think of buying any gadget better than this......in india u can get it for 16k(good models, non ions, better than US pricing)....if u can get it from usa get a CULV model or something from bestbuy

Get the Acer AS1410

Get the one with a dual core SU2300 Celeron. Features a 11.6 inch screen, 2GB Ram, Windows7 Home Premium, and HDMI among others. Much better than the atom options IMHO.

Recently received Laptopmag.com's editor's choice. There is a lot of buzz around it on notebookreviews forums as well.

JR.com has it for 400$. Using bing cashback, that supports JR, you can get it for around 380$.

Here you go,

http://www.jr.com/acer-computer/pe/ACE_AS14102285/

Make sure you log into JR via bing cashback page. Before that, change your location to United States on the top right hand corner when you log into bing.
