iOS 5 untethered jailbreak is out !

Three iPhone 4 and One iPad 1 just Jailbroken.

Also the big news, Siri is legally available for iOS devices. You just need a valid iPhone 4S authentication ticket for it to work.
 
What about people like me who are on 5.0 and do not wish to upgrade to 5.0.1 but still want the untethered jailbreak. Can I just go straight to the part where they JB using redsn0w ?

Also currently I have the tethered JB so should I apply this over my current JB ?

I JBed my iPad 1 Yesterday Night..

Installed Installous, and started downloading apps and games already. :P

Looking forward to install the Lion Theme..

Currently on 4.3.5 , which firmware do i need to download i.e which exact firmware can i jailbreak.
 
life is a b**ch when you just buy 30$ worth of apps and the jailbreak comes out the next day.downloading now though.
 
I have a 3gs on 4.3.3 and baseband 06.15.00, how to update to 5.0.1, JB and unlock? Will this affect the baseband?

Sorry for the noobish question, i am an Android guy.. this is Wifey's iPhone.

You have to upgrade. No JB for iOS 5.0 currently.

iOS 5.0.1. Do check MD5 after download
 
I do not know if this is happening with me only but Cydia has gone nuts.
Its taking too long to load the file list for the repositories and it doesnt connect to them half the time.
I've tried WiFi as well as 3G and no luck.
More than 75% of files still not listed :(

Any idea why this is happening?
 
^Cydia is getting hammered. A lot of people has JB-ed now & all are trying to access to Cydia & Installous. The servers will be busy like hell for one more day. Since US people have ultra fast internet they will be done downloading tweaks within a day, then we can do our stuff :ohyeah:

First attempt was fail. When I JB-ed, after pwnapple thingy was done, it was stuck on Apple boot logo. then I went to DFU, restored to 5.0.1, applied back up & JB-ed again. Everything went smoothly, I was like ah, it was all done. Then I opened Cydia, damn thing wasn't loading. Okay, I went to WiFi & tried again. Same ! :@ Then I realized that lots of people are doing same, Cydia getting hammered :P

TLDR, do not worry :)

Wondering why the hell didn't I think of that. These guys better finish using it soon, I have a lot of tweaks to install :P
