iOS 5 untethered jailbreak is out !

Music player on ipod 3G is little slow, like when i open the music player it takes few seconds to change the album art, i was also facing problems with audiobooks in ios 5 teter JB havent checked with 5.01 Jb, anyone else had similer problems?
 
I have tethered JB 4.3.5 , tried upgrading to 5.0.1 gives me 3094 error :( , wat to do , tiny umbrella helps bypass that stage but gives me a error 11 later :@.
 
People getting error updating to 5.0.1 and other issues. I think i will stay quiet on 5.0 and live with tethered JB. I really really hope they get a untethered JB for 5.0.

3014 happens when you are in Recovery Mode [& 3094 when in DFU mode]

  • Install latest iTunes
  • Check MD5 of the downloaded firmware
  • Comment cydia servers by putting # in Host file [in windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts find 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com or similar put # at beginning. Like #74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com] Reboot PC.
  • Put to DFU mode & try restore

Never I guess. Why would they do that as JB of 5.0.1 is out
 
You can try updating to 5.0.1 , if it fails on a 3094 also not a issue , your old firmware remains unaffected.
 
^same here. Used the first tool, b1 to JB my iPhone 4 GSM model. I am surprised how come no issues at all ! :ohyeah:

May be. But i am total new to iPhone and all this upgrading and all. Also my main aim is to keep the baseband at what it is now, 1.59.00 and hence do not want to screw up this unlock. May be i gotta live with 5.0

I was out for 5-6 days in last week and i ensure that i do not restart / shutoff the phone else i end up carrying a non working phone for that time (until i get a computer with redsn0w)
 
You can save your BB with custom IPSW. Let me know if u need instructions. Do tell me exact model, current BB & current iOS version.

Its "Remove Background"

Add it to any activator gesture you feel it would fit. I use Double Tap on Status Bar on Home Screen.

  • Had installed latest itunes now reverted back to old one , will update to latest one today
  • how to do that ??

Edit: Tried on DFU mode through itunes 10.1.2 and it updated successfully :) , then used redsnow 10.1 b3 to jailbreak , jailbreak done fine :) , finally the day comes when i see a untethered jailbreak for my ipod touch 4g , thanks a lot jailbreaks and this forum members for keeping us updated of the jailbreak scene :)
 
guys sorry to barge in..but one of my friends recently got an iphone 4, unlocked it using Gevey sim, he was on the ios4.3.5 version but he did a restore to ios5.0 and now the Gevey sim won't be detected as i read on forums because his baseband has been upgraded to 4.11.08 .

so any way to bypass this and bring the fone to a working condition again ? (already posted it on another forum wanted some TE views on it aswell)

Check the baseband of the phone from settings/general/about/modem firmware. If its 1.59.00 then only it can be software unlocked if its higher than that then he has to use gevey.

Guys I checked his base band it says

04.11.08. Can he get it unlocked?
