Ipad sim stopped working suddenly

Using it in my datacard
Yesterday i recharged my IPad sim for Rs 999 ....the recharge was successful i got this message almost immediately :





And i was downloading with no problem but today after like 2 in afternoon it got really slow and was struggling to cross 30KB/s ....so i tried reconnecting and i get this error:

I tried manually selecting UMTS see this:



I selected BSNL UMTS option.

Still i get the error "PPP Link prtotocol terminated" whats happening :huh:
 
Try after some time, it may start working again, I have faced lot of such stupid errors with BSNL. The customer care folks doesn't even have a clue how 3G works, so calling them is just waste of your time.

Once I had to go to the main BSNL Office as I was not able to connect to 3G network, and got it rectified as the guy over there called up someone and re-enabled 3G .

Did you try selecting EDGE network and see if the connection goes thru.

Tried all that nothing works...will wait till tomorrow...i will go to the exchange and tell them that the sim stopped working....should i tell them the exact error that is shown in the BSNL software(PPP link protocol terminated) ? does IPad have this exact bsnl software? cause i dont want to reveal to them that i am using it in my datacard in anyway lol.
 
^^Just tell them...Madam chal nahi raha tha kuch isliye dost ke Datacard mein try kiya and wahan se yeh error ka pata chala....socha aapko bata doon taaki aapke liye easy ho solve karne mein :P
 
Ok i SMS DATA 3G to 53733 and i get these two messages from BSNL:

Main Account Balance/Expiry Date:Rs.-10/2012-01-02 23:59:59 -BSNLMOBILE

Is my Rs 999 plan still active or what?
 
Your sim card looks fine and it may be a network problem as damaged/fried sims dont give any network etc and are totally unusable.

Does your balance say -10 or i am looking something else ??? :S

Because if it is negative then i suggest you put some balance like 40-50 rupees and then it will start working.
 
^^999 gives you GPRS/EDGE/3G (however you use it) balance, your main balance does not increase. Since you main balance never increased i am sure your recharge for internet happened correctly. What was your MAIN balance 2 days before and if net was working first and not now and if MAIN balance is issue then how come your MAIN balance go in -ve ? You made any calls, sent SMSes ??

For now just go and get a topup done (NO RECHARGE...ONLY TOP-UP) and get your MAIN balance above 0 Rs, something more than 25 or so and then it should work.

as far as i knew bsnl dosnot have -ve balance. the call/data session disconnects in rs 0.00 balance. atleast in w.b

Well, for me it works even with a negative balance :rofl: My current balance is -10 and I am posting this message using the same connection. :P Depends on the circle I guess. :P

That aunty ji helped me a lot ...she even called me after to see how the sim was performing and after telling her that the sim is limited to 1mbs she told me she will try to unlock it somehow ....only god knows how she can do that lol :bleh:.And No i did not forget rakesh repped him too :ohyeah:

Lucky man u get awesome speed and it works even with a negative value :D .
