I am not aware if unlocking or jailbreak is available for the 4S, however, getting it from the US through a friend or relative there still is the best option. Many people are taking it as part of their upgrade option.

believe me,nothing beats a warranty option.especially with apple,cause their service is fantastic.one of my friends had a minor fault in his 3gs and apple were happy to give him a quick replacement.

^ Depends on your luck, my friend got a grey market iPhone 3GS which developed battery issues. After calling Apple care he found out that even though he had 4 months left on the warranty his phone was from Denmark so Apple India would not service it.

There are some serious buyers here waiting for it to be out, I hope the debate between andriod and iPhone would stick to some other thread (we have tonnes of 'em), can we please discuss its Indian launch etc here. Like Pricing Availbility, Pre-Orders etc, that would be nicer for the thread.

We are genuinely waiting for it....and those who are (waiting) know what else is in the market and for how much, so no point in discussing that here when this topic is for its Indian Launch and nothing more.
