The long awaited copy past app for the iphone has been released for the iphone on cydia. One more flaw of iphone vanished soon we will get bluetooth transfer too,any other flaws left iphone haters:P

Two new Copy and Paste apps on the iPhone they are Clippy 0.93 (Beta) and hClipboard 0.0-2 (Beta).

Clippy

Here are the basics of using Clippy.

1) Double Tap from the point you want to copy the text.

2) Drag to the end of the text you wish to copy.

3) Tap the .123 Button

4) Tap Copy, to copy the text.

5) Go wherever you want, and paste it. (It works, wherever you have the keyboard!)

Using this app and it works flawlessly

Really? And you don't have to pay for apps, games and even themes infact on other mobile platforms? I dont understand where you're coming from.

Uhh all you need to do is - jailbreak the device, sure it voids your warranty on paper but you're only tampering with software, so a quick software restore takes care of the warranty issue ..IF you're afraid of that.

Apple doesn't plan on making or selling any of the stuff/features that I mentioned for the iphone, so the question of paying for extra features doesn't arise. Infact all the new software has been totally free.

Don't tell me you want appstore apps to be free?:S

Well I am not paying my cell manufacturer or anybody else (apart from GSM Service Provided) for sending SMS, plain and simple. And have been using a cell phone since 97, so u can estimate where I am coming from.

You dont have to pay anyone anything for jailbreaking and bitesms is a free app

You could also get any of the paid appstore or jailbreak apps for free if you really want to :)

LOL, you didn't really get linuxtechie's point. :P The point is that when someone is buying a phone that costs a premium, why does he have to go to the trouble of installing some additional app (freeware or otherwise) to get some thing so simple that its provided out of the box in a phone costing a third of the iPhones price.

Anyways, good that at least someone has gone to the trouble of adding copy paste support to the iPhone, but it would be a lot better if things like these come out of the box. Lets just hope that Apple fixes these small but significant nuisances in the next iteration of the iPhone and make it worth the premium its sells for.

LOL Finally some sane talk.

Thanks Lord Nemesis.

I agree that it sucks that Apple doesnt always listen to the consumers, however they have this attitude since there is hardly any competition to the iphone , sure the Touch HD and Xperia are good feature wise but their OS lets them down big time ... however with more and more touchscreen phones being introduced apple seem to be finally bending it's rules with the recent announcement of allowing 3rd party browsers and talk of enabling flash support.

Besides I guess most of the customers are already aware about the drawbacks of the iphone thanks to all the mail forwards and comparisons with the rock :P ... so when they purchase it , they are either happy with the way it is or are already prepared to jailbreak it :)

Wow, i just press reply and i can forward the sms..N82 rocks:hap2:
Oh wait, even a 1k nokia phone does that..Hmmm , maybe its a feature in Iphone..

seriously mate..the whole..OMFG...No SMS Forward..No MMS (as if anyone uses it) shi% has got too old

At least iPhone users have the option to add this shi%e via Cydia

Try adding the tonnes of other things the device can do to one of those supposed iPhone killers

Again you are forgetting the point here, just to justify your choice and money spent (wasted?).

One thing I have learnt is there's no absolutely point in arguing with them :) Let us continue enjoying what we have and let 'them' continue to think we 'wasted' our money :)

well jailbreaking is hardly a 10min procedure (thats a lot less time that running with your phones to the nearest NPD to fix a problem within 1 week of the purchase and then returning home to find it reoccuring along with some other new problem :P) so i dunno why you guys are cribbing about the whole out of the box thing ... besides once you do jailbreak then iRealSMS and BiteSMS are much much better than the sms app that comes with the 5800 ;)
