Agree with you totally !!
Btw use this app called AvPlayer, it plays everything so need to convert anything. Let me know once u try.
LOL. I did just that after writing this post and it played the files with ease. The iPhone screen was a welcome change after the over saturated colors of the SuperAmoled. The only real gripe is the small screen size.
So I am thinking is replacing the iPhone with an Android and then buying the iPad as my main media consumption cum browsing device.
What is this 'lag' with the S2 that you guys are referring to? Is it when you watch a video? Never noticed it in regular use of the phone.
Till I hadn't used an iPhone even I didn't notice any lag on the S2.
It is just the way the UI of the iPhone is. It is very fluid with super fast transitions. The apps open in a snap and there are hardly any FCs even when you are using cracked apps.
Let me give you an example of the lag I am talking about. When you swipe to another screen on an Android, the screen will never follow your finger. It will always be a little behind. But on an iPhone the screen follows your action to the closest mm.
It sure is not a biggie, but if you get accustomed to such an experience, you will surely find it difficult to go back to Android.
Same goes for typing with the keyboard. I make far fewer mistakes when typing on the iPhone even though the size of the keys on the S2 was bigger, because when I used to type very quickly on the S2, it always used to miss out on some characters. Nothing of that sort with the iPhone.
All this is because the touch of the iPhone is still unparalleled.
One major problem that I am facing with the iPhone is the lack of a menu key and a back key.
Also the way iOs is, you don't get any options when you long press on a file, like you do on Android and I think that is one feature that should be implemented.
Though I really want some of the features of Android like long press, more menu options and a dedicated capacitive back key, I know it is not going to happen in the near future.
Why, because Apple has always marketed itself as being different from others and are always adamant about making changes let alone include something that has already been done by Android.
Their egoistic approach to marketing has made them turn the iPhone from the best smartphone to a mediocre phone because they won't add the good features that have been implemented by others. This has led them to loose a share in the world of tech savvy or geeky people, who actually put their phone to proper use and not just buy it for flaunt value.
