Oh I never mentioned Apple in my post, I was talking in general terms about big corporations. But respecting your opinion of me being a 'Apple basher', I'd like to use this 'opportunity'

Now lets not go to the extremes and use big words/adjectives like they do in Apple presentations.

Btw Apple pretty much ruined the significance of that particular word by introducing 'Apple Genius Bar' in their stores.

Jokes apart, I don't give a sh*t about Apple. Corporations have become too big due to improper tax laws, and then these sort of corporations control the Govt in turn via lobbying (SOPA/etc). What is happening today is ugly, and its not going to get better if people behave like sheep. In July 2011 Apple had more cash than govt of most poweful nation (USA), scary.. right !
 
i guess it's a a question of different use cases

personally for me, as a mobile platform, android >>>> iOS (ask my iPhone 4S, gifted out to my sis in less than 2 weeks over a note.. or my iPad which is recharged once a month when my zinio subscriptions refresh).. while on the other hand, I hate my office i7 win 7 ultraport each time I reach home and toss it aside for my MB Air..

Next month, am going home to make dad switch over from his win lappy to Mac and his samsung galaxy to iphone...

OTOH, my on & off LF swears by her Ubuntu dell and iOS 3GS and I experience has taught me well enough to not try her to wean her off her choices!

I guess whoever said one size doesn't fit all must be the greatest philosopher of all times! :-P

PS: Oh , and for the sake of trolling- Wonder whose use case Mango fits!! :-P (truth be told, haven't used WP7)

Let me add something,

Android phones:
  1. Cheaper
  2. UI/Performance as good as iOS and sometimes better
  3. Build sucks when compared to iPhone
  4. Samsung's Super AMOLED FTW
  5. Firmware upgrades take their own lovely time to come
  6. Carrier add a lot of their crap if you buy from them.
  7. Bigger screen are awesome while doing anything except when you want to reach the other corner of the screen

iPhone:
  1. Way to expensive that buying a 4S borders insanity (Rich people begone)
  2. UI and usability is awesome especially after JB
  3. Build quality and feel is unbeatable (I think Razr comes close)
  4. Retina Display FTW
  5. Once there is a firmware upgrade its available for all iOS devices all over the world at the same time
  6. Carrier added apps can be removed (i am guessing)
  7. I hate the small 3.5" screen

One question, Why on Earth is the Ipad 2 64GB 3G variant the same price at 16GB iPhone 4S? WHY???

Android tablets:
  1. Cheaper than iPad
  2. performance at par
  3. UI as good as iPad
  4. But for some odd reason no one wants to buy them unless they have to or find an insanely cheap option like Touchpad.

iPad:
  1. Expensive as hell, especially the 3G variants, and like the iPhone, buying that borders insanity
  2. iPad 2 is fast, real fast.
  3. UI feels awesome, build is even better and yet to be matched.
  4. People keep finding odd reasons to shell tons of money

Whatever you guys fight.. it is a fact that Apple is doing well.. irrespective of iOS, closed system.. blah blah...

Also it is a fact that it outsells entire Microsoft.. Learn to appreciate it

If google/any other company give such similar performance.. Lets appreciate them as well.. But as of now.. it is the APPLE..

the exact same thing happened with me today. I have a note and set an alarm for 6 am today. it did not ring. wtf?
 
Actually Apple invented the famous alarm clock which doesnt ring on time but as usual samsung copied this feature from the iphone, now we can expect a lawsuit anytime from apple

From where did you set the alarm ? I mean which app ? i suppose you used 'Task' because saving notes is available in Task

You din't reply me on out of box thing.

When you get a substandard product but pay a premium price for it.Bashing is for sure.It raises the anger level when the CEO comes out and points finger at the customer on how to hold the phone instead of accepting the mistake and apologizing.

Okay . How is the Iphone a sub standard phone ?

On the CEO thing , Thats just the way some people are. Not the best thing but then again I dont mind that .

This is really bad!

No one seems to have any explanation.

Note or gs2 are by no means cheap...but how these dual core giants can screw up such a simple but very important thing which my 2 year old Nokia is doing flawlessly for last 20 months?

Sub standard was related to antenna gate issue.

If that is how a CEO is, then this is the way their products will be bashed. Being a CEO you may show that to your employees ,not to the customer who buy your product.

The other reason for bashing apple can be, the law suits they filed against sammy. This shows the arrogance of apple and people may not like such attitude and hence the bashing.

PS : Apple uses a lot of samsung chips/parts.
