^Damn you're in a bad time friend,The appropriate pricing should be Dell U23-14.5k and Asus PA238Q-17.5-18k.I think you'd first check with SMC International,If you don't get it for 15k then contact Dell directly i hope they'll give you the correct pricing.

You'd get it for 16k if you're in a hurry,It's better than going for 17k right.If not then wait for a while till rates cool off.

Octroi might be applicable which is 5%

What is going with SMC ?? They give you different pricing via different modes of communication
First Phone and now email ??

SMC is reliable (going by their long standing offers to TE folks), although I've never dealt with them. Call them & mention abt the email & if they would stick to that pricing ...... then proceed with payment

SHAME ON DELL FOR NOT PROVIDING SUFFICIENT STOCKS
 
I got one in July for 14.2k from Prime. I would advise you to either go with SMC if they are sticking to 14.8k or wait for the cooldown in pricing.

My cousin got a AOC i2353 for 12K as he couldn't spend 17K for a monitor
As far as i'm concern,i'm still tempted for Dell U2312HM :23:

I am especially interested in the 26" viewsonic model at 23k as it seems much more impressive than the dell 2412 but it seems to be a discontinued model and I am worried about ass/warranty. Thinking of calling smc up tomorrow to enquire regarding it.

Decided to check the viewsonic website and seems that they have a bunch of ips monitors out this month. Maybe there will be some decent vfm alternative to the dell ips soon.
