Is 720p better than 1080i ?

One is not necessarily better than the other; 1080i has more lines and pixels, but 720p is a progressive-scan format that should deliver a smoother image that stays sharper during motion.

In your case 720p will be better than 1080i for ps3 games

I've tried everything , there's something wrong with my lcd and it's getting worse day by day something ..with the back light i think. It's RMA time.
