Linux Is there any raspppoe thing for linux

raspppoe is a PPPOE software i assume there must be some way to get it to work under linux. Or some open source PPPoE software.

PS: You dont need raspppoe even to connect under XP. Most local cable guys dont know this.
 
pppoeconfig for setting it up. then pppoe or pon and poff for connection and disconnection.

In the config you will also have option of getting connected at startup.

Or you can also set this up through the network setup interface (I have done this on just CentOS, not sure of the name in other distros)

True but raspppoe has more features compared to the inbuilt pppoe.
 
Finally managed to configure my Tata in Linux :ohyeah::hap2:

OS : Ubuntu Ultimate Edition 1.4 Live CD.

The magical command is "sudo pppoecfg"

will post a guide soon.​
 
Ya, these are some of the commands that work in Ubuntu:

1) sudo pon dsl-provider

2) sudo pppoe-start

3) sudo pppoeconf
 
somebody write a guide to connect to net using Sify broadband in linux...:(

I cant make it work even after configuring my network card properly(i can ping the sify server from my tux box) and installing the client sify provided for linux....:(
