BigBruin took a look a Nu Tech’s Dark Shadow 256mb MP3 sunglasses. This is probably the closest competitor to Oakley’s Thump MP3 sunglasses. They both sport a similar design and form factor. Bigbruin was satisfied with the styling and overall sound quality of the Dark Shadow sunglasses and at a price of $99 (far less then the Oakley Thumps) they thought them a steal. The only draw back that they discovered was a charging glitch. The indicator light never completely turned off indicating that it had completed its charge. A complete charge should take about 2 hours and provide roughly 8 hours of continuous playback.
