Laptops Is this the right time to buy the Air ?

The pune guy is Rahul Commerce, right? Apple's his side business. Hes actually a very big software reseller here.

Hes got a tiny shop and not very good salespeople either. These guys just expect ppl who MUST have an apple to come and buy. And by their calculations, if you come there, means you WANT to buy apple, means you can wait since you dont have another option in Pune :P Not a good attitude, but thats wat it is. :(
 
lol, kauzy, you skipped the proper Apple retail channel to buy from a sidey reseller (on top of which the apple reselling is his side business)

at least don't blame apple for that :P

The Imagine stores should have them in stock and available off the shelf, give it a look.

That guy has pretty much been the only source for official apple stuff in pune for a long long time :P Hes an 'official apple authorised reseller'

+ hes the official service partner here, so u ll end up going to him for issues anyway :@
 
actually apple india site didn't mention the "imagine" store.. hence i didn't visit it.. 'll check it out.. hope atleast they have the MB in stock... :(
 
I shouldn't be visiting this thread..My MB purchase has been delayed by a week

The sight of techie 007 and Anish (and soon Kauzy) with their MBs is driving me mad :@

Using windoze @ home is not giving me a cause for joy either :@

:rofl: well scz, if its any consolation, the MB was for my roomie, not me :P I prefer a desktop to a lappy any day (gaming reasons :)). + I have gotten used to netbooks so much that the portable I buy will be one ;)

Though if you want to burn, I will be using it quite a lot too :bleh:
 
i am using a a eee 901 right now, and trust me, it absolutely , completely sucks in comparison

now i know why my avatar looks so glum

he quoted me 79700 for the 2.0 GHz model... i guess its pretty high :(

Damn.... absolutely no stocks anywhere.. :@ the new stock will be arriving next week... And i thought people hated APPLE... :S
 
My views:
I am an apple fan too. I love my Touch, and the iPhone was slightly flawed but novel and fun.

but with OS-X you're barking up a very different tree; you are on unfamiliar territory. How you cope is up to you; whether you want to learn or not.

Doesn't apply if you're familiar with OS X 10.5 obviously; so superczar and anish will not flame me ;)
