Mate i have dealt with u twice and i know ur a straight up guy to deal with.

what @space is trying to say, i think, is that ur rule cannot be made a mandatory rule. its not possible or logical. TE is not a market. stop comparing with ebay. market is just a add on. a sub forum. It doesnt, shouldnt, favour a single person, be it a buyer or seller. why should it?. All buyers are saints? All sellers are frauds?. But you yourself said what the trade section is. thats what i quoted.

and vipin, u have to understand one thing. This thread is been up for few days. and in those days imagine how many deals have took place. no issues. A system will have failures but yes that rate has to be kept lowest possible, perfection is impossible.Its not the buyer or seller. it depends on person concerned. No matter how many rules for that there is no precaution.

Anyways , if the intend of the person is malicious the rules are certainly not stopping him.

Let give this some time.And in this case i sincerely hope i Seller should refund the money as clearly he knew FM was not usable and buyer was pretty explicit in asking him that.

I think, that pretty much sums up how a market section for a forum can be. Its not a forum for market.

I don't think so that Uziel is going to return the money anyhow because since his last post he never replied or posted anything. He is happy with money he received after selling his product.

@uziel:Here is an example from my side for you:

Last year me & my mom went to buy a mobile phone for her & after looking after the specs we bought an LG phone, well it worked for few days but it was really slow responding phone so Mom decided to return the phone & claim the money. Well, everything was right with phone except its interface so my mon went back & returned the phone shopkeeper told her that he will cut 200rs from total amount as transaction charges so Mom agreed & got he rest of amount.

Now education in this for you is, if buyer could not find your product up to his usability then he/she can always return the product & seller can always cut the transaction amount from the total amount & give rest of amount back. Now its upto you what you can do about this. I will suggest you give Seshu's money back & be a better person. Just remember that money is somebody's hard earned money & you are not a thief or conman to rob somebody of their hard earned money.

^^Dude seriously some hard action need to be taken to let other people know that TE is not a place to con people of their money & they should be afraid while conning of some body's hard earned money.

Best thing is that your deal happened on TE so you are having all the proof & you can easily go ahead with legal proceedings.

Let me narrate u my first deal on TE :-

I bought 3 HDDs (160gb+80gb+80gb) from a member named luckychouhan here on TE. Actually at that time I was completely unaware of forums rules and methodology. He posted on someone's thread that he wanna sell these 3 HDDs. So I pmed him that I need it and agreed for Rs. 1500 for 160gb and Rs. 800 for 80gb each. Only one 80gb HDD was out of warranty. So I transferred the money and he shipped the hard disks. Upon receiving I came to know that one 80gb hdd which was out of warranty was dead. I called him straight away and told him to take it back since its out of warranty so I can't even get the replaced HDD. He said that ship it back and then he'll ship me other one. I did so, but after that I called him for nearly 1-2 months he always keeps on asking for more time. At the end he shipped the same HDD with a note inside the package stating that I've checked the HDD in my pc and is working fine. So I won't take it back in any case. I still checked it and since it was the same, so it didn't worked. Then for 2-3 months I tried contacting him but his phone was always switched off. And when I call on his landline, his parents always tell that he's out with some friends. I called at his landline even at 11:00pm 4-5 times and his parents always told me that he's out of home. WTH, who remains outside the home with friends everyday at night. Then I learned a lesson that never trust anyone blindly. Though I lost only 800rs and loads of phone bills but it still pinched me a lot. And when I saw sheshu stuck in this incident I thought that since I too was cheated since I was not from the same town, so why should I let the history repeat. Thats why I would like to help sheshu in all possible ways.

So Mr. Uziel, please co-operate and return the money before its too late.

On two occasions when I sold in response to WTB threads, I insisted that they get the part first and pay after being convinced. The first time it was a HDD in TE, may be a year back. The second was recently in the other forum's WTB thread for a Vantec Dock. On both occasions, the deal were nice and smooth and trader ratings were exchanged. The second time the buyer transferred a bit higher amount than I had asked. (My presumption was that those parts were lying idle and likely to go waste and if I get the amount well and good!) Both buyers were members for very long.

May be u feel my suggestion odd but y don't you sell the card in market section specifying all the facts like FM is not working ; u don't have the drivers; u bought it from fellow TE member giving actual specs & true things abt the card ...

If some one needs it & then he will buy. This way u can get a part of ur money spent on this card

I am saying this because i feel the seller will not going to return ur money...if he would have understood the value of hard earned money & had some honesty u didn't need to create this thread...

May not be working = you do not have resources to test the board and PCIe slot.

it is a comment from your side.

where as.. having 'PCIe slot not working in bold letters' is a strong statement and confirms that you have tested its condition.

in case of this deal.. the seller clearly expressed that he does not know if FM works.. a person putting up a review about the same product..who as well mentioned in depth about the same product would not say something like that...he clearly mislead his sale. he made a mistake buying the product himself in the 1st place (clearly that is what he means from why he posted those reviews) and now just doing the same to the next person.

it is like creating a matrimonial profile for your wife and stating that she may not be a female...(but also diverting to her improper birth certificate to prove the gender) and then expecting the bridegroom to figure out what you already know ..that too after marriage... now people are suggesting that bridegroom shall accept the marriage with some compensation..but who is going to consider that he is not gay at all ??!!

I am saying that Uziel not only should have put his reviews link in the sale post but also even after putting that link, he should have specifically asked the buyer if he was aware of the shortcomings of the card & had he gone through his review link as he would not like to sell the product to a buyer who is ignorant of the shortcomings.

That is true brotherhood as we are here to help out each other not take advantage of ignorance or enthusiasm of fellow members IMHO
