Bought it couple of weeks back and ive been having and issue with its earthing!
The model is 40D5000.the guys who came for installation pointed out this issue since he was getting a shock from the USB ports!I re wired and this went off but now i can feel the electricity on the rear steal panel!
I checked with my electrician and he said there is nothing wrong with the connection...I even pulled a completely new line and this issue persists.
I called the SVC and when the guys came to my place..guess what?the TV was fine ..no issues! :( that is only when i realized that this is a very Random issue...at times its there and at times it isnt!

What could be wrong?can this damage my TV?

Thank you

Could be coming from your dish stb. i've seen this happen on old stb's which seem to transfer some minor pin prick type of shock when touched.

oh...will take a look though im using TS HD box which i bought along with the TV

Well since the tv has just a 2pin plug live/neutral these things do happen, its mostly do with the STB since i have had similar issue with my airtel connection my house has top notch earthing and some expensive cables from STB to tv and from DISH to STB.yet i was getting shock ,this is due to the crappy power supply unit supplied with the STB,which has no earthing i have seen this issue with many cheap power supply even if it has a 3 pin connector or cord there is no earth inside the PSU,so one need to connect the output negative DC wire to the earth which is DIY requiring soldering,or use alligator clips and connect one end to earth and the other to the DC negative part.

If you take a multimeter and measure AC voltage from DC output pin of the power supply you will mostly get a reading of half the input voltage which is around 110 to 120v AC which is half of 220v to 240v AC input. Now after you do the suggested earthing you will read 0 AC voltage.

Hmm...currently both my TV and DTH are connected to the stabilizer.Ill connect the DTH separately and observe.

Getting electric shock for all ports, on day one. Samsung support is all idiot, no knowledge base with them. I am afraid to use this TV now, I am afraid that I won't be able to recommend this to ANYONE.
