PC Peripherals Its confirmed...OCZ Rev2 Plat is TCC5..haha

^^Yo, I thought you decided to keep the DFI for yourself. Now you have a legitimate excuse :P

Yeah, that's the v1.1 on the sticker. Notice that even 4200 is TCC5. And OMG, to think that I was seriously planning on getting it for $240. OhOh ! That would have been some fun.

And the 5000 has always been TCC5, right !

LOL ! Someone wakeup Sunny and ask him to get out of town for a few days :ohyeah: !

And Masky go ahead and give it a shot - if you can get to 260 - 275 MHz @ 2.5-3/4-3-6/7 at < 3V, you can rub it back on Sunny :P !

When will i get my hands on such ram , god if some one from US helped me get those.
Currently going for Funkies Hynix.

Masky even with this beautiful OCZ u were stuck at 2.5Ghz on ur Venice.
There seems to be no problem with 1:1 OCing but only with DDR333 Divider as funky told to me.

Shift ur Venice to DFI+OCZ and see ur Venice going higher

Obviously rev2. VX would be hard pressed to reach those frequencies and would require 3.7V for it.

@rocky: Is arctic silver safe to be put on the nb? I've been wondering the same myself.

what timings and voltage for your ram masky ? and is it 3d stable ?

280MHz.. pretty stable so far.. 2.5-4-3-7... at 275MHz 2.5-3-3-7, Prime stops after about half hour..

TheMask posted 30.48 minutes later:

small update.. 300MHz 2.5-4-3-7 ran Prime for 21 minutes and then Prime quits.. i was continuing to browse and after about 15 minutes, I got a BSOD..

That's pretty good OC :hap2: ! I'm happy for you and quite relieved that TCC5 is working out quite well. Getting to see a few other similar stories around the net about the new OCZ TCC5 Rev F. So, yep, it's all prolly a matter of binning and how each company goes about it !

Did you manage to locate those 8 shiny tiny traces above the gold connectors :P ?
