Just got the 4000+ and the Jetway mobo,

All's fine and working well apart from:
1. System temp at 54"C and CPU temp at 29"C !! Is that in the normal range ?
2. A weird issue with MS mouse optical, everytime I restart the comp I need to unplug, and replug the mouse to make it work...

Me too :P Quite irritating, isn't it?

^^ Hmm so its a universal issue, but the USB port is working fine for other devices whats the issue then ?

Your temps are fine. The CPU reading a is a lot lower than the real temperature, but no utility is able to read it correctly. When the CPU temp goes up to 43 degrees in software, the actual temperature of the heatsink surface is around 50 degrees. I would estimate the die temp to be around 55-56 degrees in such a case. That gives an offset of about 12 degrees, which I have manually added to Speedfan so the temps are closer to reality.

To fix the mouse issue change the jumper at the top of the board to 'Keyboard power on enable'.

If the mouse is USB this fix won't (shouldn't) work.

i m too using same board and mouse...not facing any such weird problem...didnot install any ms driver from cd..default what windows loaded only that driver...

I have a PS2 Converter (its for the MX310) if you need it to try it out...lemme know.....am in Bangalore////

My MS optical is mostly used on ps2 and on some days it refuses to, making me think my mobo ps2 port died. :(
so i shift to USB at that moment. :)
If i try it on ps2 after few days it works fine there on.:S
Sometimes it's @$$ doesnt fire up, either on usb or ps2 and i have to reboot the pc. :@

Been thru 7-8 nf4 mobos at least :ashamed: , none of them had a bad ps2 port or any issues but this rodent lives up to its name and always make me shudder in fear when it stops working on the ps2 port. :P

Yup i face a very similar problem with the ms basical optical mice that i have at my home pc's. They just dont seem to detect sometimes, but after restarting the computer or just by removing the mouse once and connecting them again solves the problem. In short the basic optical mice of ms suck :@

^^^+1.. have an MS optical with same problem. Keeps me alternating between PS2 and USB or just reconnecting to USB :) but been 4 years n no other problems yet ;)
