Jquery rating with PHP MVC .

I am stuck with this for quite some time. I dont know Javascript or jquery . I want to integrate a rating system into my website which is written in Codeigniter(PHP MVC Framework) . I have tried all the rating plugins avaliable and make it compatible but nothing really works. If any one can just write one and help me that would be great .

Requirements : the plugin has to get data from a Database table .

It has to check for already voted IP .
