I Just Did A Fresh Installation Of K-Lite Codec Pack 4.3.4 Full,And It's Affecting My System Sound Like Mad.
I Installed Components Listed In "Playback Essentials(Without Player)",And It's Playing Havoc With Sound!Issue Persists Even After Uninstalling The Codec!
How Do I Correct This??

Instead of k-lite try installing ffdshow It uses directshow filters and is included in k-lite, but you should find that it will handle most of the codecs you need, by itself. If you find you need additional codecs, install them separately as needed

Run CCCP-insurgent and unregister all the codecs that came with k-lite codec pack.then clean up your registry and install the latest combined community codec pack.

^ So this is much safer than the K-lite thing? I wanna install codecs on my laptop and hence my cautios approach on these codec packs .. Which would be the most suitable and upto date pack to install>?

Ya CCCP is a lot better than k-lite codec pack. Also if your sound is still messed up , try reinstalling your sound card driver.....sometimes that helps.

Sound Is Pretty Messed Up,And Entirely Absent In Some Cases.
I Reinstalled The Sound Driver...No Go!It Still Won't Respond!
I Will Avoid K-Lite In Future,But What Do I Do For Now??

people what will u prefer if u convert some using smart movie and watch HD movies
k-lite or cccp ?

Try any registry cleaners.Even if you don't think it will do much good, give it a try...........if that doesn't work you may have no option but to reinstall windows.

Use KMP media player, for HD content use Power DvD with nVidia pure video(DVXA acceleration).

First clean the drivers.

Are you seriously considering formatting and re-installing your OS? it seems a little bit like overkill to me. I know there is a way of resetting your codecs back to default xp installed codecs, but you will have to google it as I haven't looked for it for a while.
