K750i or 6233??

Guys, i had to postpone my cell purchase because my pc speakers went kaput..
i have a budget of around 10k now..not a dime more..plus i'm already a lot confused..so pls help me choose the better or these 2 phones..the k750i or 6233... :S
the 6233 has got gr8 speakers..is 3g... n has edge..(not necessarily literally..:P)
the k750 has somewhat better cam, speaker sound is low, but gr8 for music..a tad old though..
so which one wud it be?
 
apart from the style factor, K750i is rather old now nnnadding to that, 6233 has a far bugger and better screen, a poorer cam, but far better speakers and 3g....so i would say u go for 6233
 
Go for the k750.. better music quality, more talk time and standby time, more internal memory and you get a 64mb memory stick with it (nothing is supplied with the 6233)

i think the only adv.s of the 6233 are EDGE (if u could call that an adv :P ), slightly bigger screen (i think), plays AAC..

i think if you could just add just a few 100 bucks more, you could get a w700i (with which a 256mb card is supplied)..

Actually i heard tht SE is going to pull the plug off k750i as its successor, k550i is already here..so i am kind of hesitant about it as resale is going to be bad after its production is stopped..wot say?

yeah but thr is hardly any difference between the k750 n the w700 as far as hardware is concerned, plus the golden look is an eyesore to me.. had it been black, i wud surely have gone for it...:)

yeah, quiet true, but 6233 has a very good screen, gr8 stereo speakers, dont really care about 3g anyways..;)

but can anyone confirm tht it doesnt even include a 64mb card with it..cos the dealer told me tht it has a 64mb card with it, but no data cable..btw how much does a nokia data cable cost ?..it really is a sitting duck w/o a datacable.. i'm getting the 6233 for 9.3k..the k750i is for 9.6k with my dealer.. i have seen the cam of 6233 n i think it isnt very bad..and the best part is tht it can record vdo in vga mode..the k750i records very bad vdo..correct me if i'm wrong here...:)

And lastly, the 6233 doesnt have a joystick which is a major irritant in case of k750i..or so i've heard..those of u who have used the k750i, kindly confirm this for me..some ppl say it goes kaput after 6 months or so..??

One more thing tht i wanna know about the 6233 is its battery performance..is it good?

I know i'm kind of tilting rowards the 6233 simply because it is a current product, has a better screen, has gr8 loud speakers..but it is let down by a very poor accessary bundle..also internal memory is very less..only 5 mb..

the k750i has all the bells n whistles but it has a questionable joystick...n a slightly dated screen..:P

So, are my observations rit? Please feel free to correct me if u think my observations are incorrect..thanks..:)

Hmm.. generally you'd get more resell value for Nokias, but the k750i is very popular, so i think it'll find buyers..

i like the k550i BTW.. i might buy it!

^^naah, normally i wudnt..but..well, just in case i see a good chick(at a safe distance :P ) ..but still a vga recording is a good feature...i saw a few examples of its recordings at Nokia 6233 review: Discreet business tool - GSMArena.com

and they were quite good for a cellphone in this price category..

Also, i wud like to know more about the joystick issue of k750i...has any1 faced it? n yeah, is the data cable included into the k750i accessory bundle?
 
I was in the same dilemma few days back.. and chose 6233 for these reasons..

- great stereo speakers.. found em way better than k750i

- VGA recording (640*480 @ 15 fps)... trust me, the vid recording quality is great

- 240*320 screen.. 256 K colors..

- S40 3rd Ed OS.. menu response time is great, no virus probs

- Plays quite a lot of formats.. mp3 aac wma mpeg-4 (DivX Xvid)

- Expandable memory cards are cheap.. got a Sandisk 1 GB for 900 bucks

The package contains a 64 mb card, nokia earphones n all other stuff..

As for the data cable, you can get a Nokia DKU-2 cable for less than 250 bucks, works great...

The only downside of this set is its camera.. which does not feature flash, auto focus.. Other than that, its pure vfm..

actually the joystick of k750i is givin me nightmares..so thinkin of goin for the 6233...:)

Btw, have u had any issues using it all this while..? how long does the battery work in everyday usage? also i wud like to know whether u can download themes to the phone.. wot about the head phones?? are they good? i dont really care much about cam quality.. just want it for casual takes..
 
Well I had some issues with the cam. In dark conditions, all images had 3-4 dead rgb spots. Got the set replaced and no issues after that.

Battery life depends on usage. Mine lasts 2 days on average, 15-20 mins bluetooth, an hour of music, 30-40 mins talk time.. Its pretty decent.

Earphones are OK.. lack bass but I guess am so used to my Sennheisers :P

Overall its a good set bro.. VFM..
For themes, apps n other stuff I found this site pretty useful.

btw, did u get a sealed pack new unit in return for the defective unit?, is this problem a common problem with this phone?? As for the battery, i guess, 2 days is okay..will do..:)
 
6233 iz an awsm fone bt it has a small problem and i.e. the defaults vid player plays the vids @ 15fps :@ bt thts sumthing wch evry1 dsnt notice coz most of the ppl cnt evn tell the diff btwn a vid playing @ 15fps and 30fps and the 2nd prob iz tht u cnt fst frwd or rewind the vids....u cn only hpe tht the nxt firmware update wil fix tht prob....
