Kalyway 10.5.2

Been using the Kalyway 10.5.2 with Vista Ultimate 32Bit in dual boot for some time - everything out of the box on a e2140/ip35-e/8600gt/sata hdd and dvd-rw.

This has been my first experience with the mac and quite honestly except for the GUI i don't really find anything worth raving abt. I had tried so many builds before finally coming across a fully working one and now i almost never boot into the mac os. Nothing wrong with the build though - most should be able to get it working just fine. . .

Even i didnt find anything interesting..If at all, actually found it find of boring..Maybe i didnt try enough..but really not a fan of white colour:P

any one tried the new iAtkos build
Yes, I've tried 1.4i and runs fine on my machine. Taruga for Audio and Nvkush for my GPU. QE&CI are supported. Geek bench score is around 5600 :)

Currently on Vanilla 9.4.0 kernel, Modbin x64 kernel also works.

can this work with AMD ATHLON 64 3000+, it does not have SSE3,only SEE2.
? anyone managed to install it?

^^will this work on XPS 1210 lappy?

I tried billion times to install Mac on my PC but failed to sucessfully install it.
I tried Kalyway 10.5.2 and iAtkos 2.0i but still couldnt get it working.
My PC config:
E8400
aBit IP35e
2GB RAM
Auzentech Xplosion
320GB SATA HDD
Samsung SATA DVD RW

Any suggestions....?

The easiest way to get to know what particular build will work on your hardware is to check the Hardware compatibility list.

After you have an idea of basic things it can be pretty easy.
And yeah, for more info and help check out Insanelymac.

Is it good enough as a primary OS for daily use ?

In one word, it IS.
But actually it depends what your priorities are, it does most of the things like they are intended to be done, very unlike windows.:P

Yes, let us know at what point you got it wrong?
Check HCL to know how everything works with your config.
And as suggested by mehargags you really need to have patience, it really pays.:D

I was trying to get this working since last 3 months, almost gave up a few times,,but still i was always looking for workarounds and eventually i did succeed and i am more than happy.:D
Here are a few screenie's for you guys to drool on:P

I guess I wasnt clear. What I wanted to ask was whether it is on par with the experience that Leopard offers on a macbook ? I dint mean to compare it with windows or linux :)

it tried Kalyway 10.5.2 on a laptop it was no enabling keyboard and tuch pad
i had to use usb key..and mouse
but it took 10hr to load and very slow
i have to try it on my pc

I guess it all depends how good is the support for your hardware.

If everything is well supported; yes, you can almost get pretty close to feel of a real Mac.:)

Got Leo4All up and running on my Compaq V3000 series lappy. Loving it :)

Although I am ashamed to post my Xbench score :P Unfortunately, no driver support for onboard nvidia gpus. Got native resolution working though. So alls fine :)

My mobo is not present in HCL

i have

AMD Athlon 3000+

MSI-K8MM-V

1GB DDR RAM

Nvidia Geforece 6200

I haven't tried Kalyway yet. But I did manage to get iAtkos 1.0r2 working after testing my patience to the limit. The 1.0 regular didn't boot into install mode at all, while the patched one did but stalled in before the install could start. Managed to get around this by booting with r2 and then inserting the r1 disc. Actually quite surprised that it worked.

Additionally, it refused to detect my usb keyboard & mouse and wouldn't work with my sata drives. Had to switch in ps2 devices and a IDE drive.

Installed it but my sound and LAN didn't work so there wasn't much I could actually do with it.

Strange thing is.. when I tried this trick again, it didn't work.

Make sure if you have QE/CI working, otherwise you'll be devoid of all the GUI goodies.

Well, there's a support for SSE2 in most of the builds so that's not a problem.

You need to try different builds until you find the one best suitable for your configuration.

Start over with Jas 10.5.4 and then try kalyway and Leo4all.

Look up for your graphics card support in HCL

I did check the HCL and found that my gfx card(XFX 9600 GT) and sound card(Auzentech Xplosion) are NOT supported.

So does it mean that i cannot install mac on my system?

U didn't check anything, just asking blunt questions like this in this forum isn't gonna help u at all brother. Read on insanelymac forums & u will know that NVIDIA is supported using NVkush kexts universally but NO Azuntech at all. Use the onboard sound card.

Dude i have checked and i know that auzentech is not supported.

What i want to know is if the soundcard is connected to MB,what will be the problem?

Will it give me any error during installation or will it install but the sound doesnt work

Anyone got their nvidia onboard working ?

It won't be a problem and it won't cause any errors during installation.

Thanks for help, i checked up the HCL, it says some patches required.

I also have a laptop with following Config

Intel C2D T5300(1.73GHz)

2GB RAM

Intel GMA 950

Intel 802.11abg wireless,

Bluetooth, Modem, 10/100 Ethernet, Fingerprint reader, inbuilt Camera

i wanted to know which of the systems are better supported?

a rule of thumb, INTEL WIRELESS Cards DO NOT WORK, even if someone managed to do it, its beyond the scope of people like us.
