On 27-4-2011- I bought Kingston SDC4/8GB for Samsung E2652 mobile phone, catch few pics of Function at home & was suddenly stop working on 1-5-2011.

Reading your post here I visit Sim Lim Square service center at lamington road (Smartlink Network System limited) with hope will get "On The Spot Replacement", but Smartlink people told me to come after 25 days as they need to send it to check whether it's genuine or fake :S, (what the hell it is, Service Center didn't have tools to check genuineness of product on the spot, are you joking :@ , is it service center or FAST FOOD center who don't have tool to check product for what they appointed to provide Service.

NOW does your service centers working the way they wanted to do or what Kingston asked them to do? You here at TE claiming that Kingston replace product ON THE SPOT, than why they ask me to COME BACK after 25 days.

Now what's the use of buying Kingston Product spending Rs.100-150 more compare to SanDisk. I'm using Sandisk with my SonyEricsson phone from last 4 years or more & even my brother bought 2 GB Sandisk card but NOT A single problem arises till today & your Kingston card suddenly stop working in just 4 days of purchase.

Why should I care when I buy product with Vat paid bill & TRUST ON KINGSTON, it's your look out to provide instruments/machine to every service centers to check genuineness & if you can't AFFORD to provide such instruments to all your authorized service centers than better ..., you brake my TRUST on Kingston brand, either take your word back (on the spot replacement) or better accept Sandisk is way better in build quality compare to Kingston.

I took half day leave from work today & again need to took if BY GODs GRACE Kingston will replaced it (after hidden process of checking, if you are so sure about your process why don't you offer ON The SPOT CHECKING)

Good, my fist experience with Kingston Service Center is very nice & I'm very very happy & will recommend Kingston products to all my friends & foes.
 
Well I just got my pendrive replaced from them. The people there suck. I mean absolutely the worst. No sense of customer service. I gave my pendrive, as I had box and stuff, so no issue of wait 25 days, but they are like we dont have stock, so we will message you when it comes.

No message received, but a week or so later I called up. They said yes its done.

When I went there I had to wait for 30 mins, as people were on the "lunch break", while they were actually busy checking facebook and sharing videos(they were talking loudly about it too).

Finally I got a new drive, but On-the-spot, no way.
 
You could have tried accel frontline. They do check for the originality of the product.
Also last time i visited accel they use to tell to book their rma request On by giving a number wherein the originality of the product would have been done there itself and so the overall processing time reduces. Have you tried that?
 
@ggt: I dont this booking RMA etc online is the OP's or customers responsibility. It is their statement, they should adhere to it.

Yes ACCEL FRONTLINE is one of the best RMA centers after Aditya tech :) for me . They handle the RMA Process quite fast and you can check your progress online even :) .

There is NO SERVICE CENTER name ACCEL FRONTLINE on Kingston India list who providing Service in Mumbai for Kingston products.

Even at Lemignton Road Service center I asked them about any other service center who will give me On The Spot Replacement than they replied that there is one at Santacruz but there too I will get same (come after 25 days) reply as it's KINGSTON INDIA policy NOT TO give Table Replacement To MicroSD Card Customers as there is Fake (kingston) products around market :(

So my humble request to all that please DO NOT BUY ANY Kingston Brand Product as there is LOTS OF FAKE KINGSTON PRODUCTS around market, better avoid Kingston & lots hassle if RMA requires.

Go with Transcend, Sandsik, SeaSonic or other Reputed Brands. There is lots other Brands who CARE FOR CUSTOMERS & Quality also way better.

How am I supposed to tell the difference between Non Genuine counterfeit products vs Genuine products from kingston?:confused:
 
@kingston rep, i bought a kingston pendrive from letsbuy, and it's showing some signs of problems, now i wanna ask that would i be needing its box/bill for its rma or will it be solely dependent on the actual pendrive, assuming it to be a genuine kingston product..?

If that's the case please don't claim 'On the spot' replacement. mention the exceptional cases as well.

On another note What kind of verification is done exactly?. And why it's not being done in service center itself?

And if pendrive and memory card are not entitled for so called 'ON the spot' replacement what are ??

can't you ship the Replaced product at Customers Address if in your test you found the product is Genuine, why don't you EVEN ready to bear one side shipping when your product fail to satisfy customer (fail in just 4 day of use), why you insist to collect it from Service Center only. Why every time customer need to sacrifice time, money etc. Is it customers mistake that he choose Kingston Brand. Why customer need to call you about the status (read from above replies), is it not your duty to aware them... just don't show us RULES, first you requires to Stick with Rules of Service Center (your service center don't have tool to check parts/products)

... most of EVERY ONE in market or at retail counter claims that they are Genuine & Authorized Kingston Dealer, now the problem is HOW TO VERIFY if they are Authorized or NOT. Do Kinstorn provides them APPOINTMENT Letter? What if Dealer show us Letter Dated 2010 how we can believe that he/she is still with Kingston in 2011 too.

Why we should keep faith on Appointment Letters or Authorized certificates from Kingston to Dealer does it big deal to get (fake) Printout of such authorized appointment letters.

Each & every time customers are not going to check online (does each & every user have net connection?) for distributors list & from own my experience ANY DISTRIBUTORS are not at all interested to entertain end-user but Hardware Dealers.

Here is the whole matter is TRUST & After Sales Service & I can say that Kingston is big loser.
 
Perhaps its not a high revenue products that they want to waste their time in. Just ours.
 
If the company is least bothered about customers then $crew them and choose the next best equivalent.I had a bad experience with a Kingston RAM few years back after that never purchased a Kingston product.
 
i bought the kingston 8 gb 2 year ago but now this year it stop copy the files due to damage data and even format does not help, and even i bought 2 gb ddr2 ram for my friend one of ram gone corrupt after claim the warranty and they ask for bill proof and i told can to verified check the serial number and they told it is fake, and i don't understand why Kingston sell fake product from different distribution dealer for lower price..., that the factory are not doing proper job due to fail test :| or bear to lose non working product at profit lost

even i went to service center they ask me for bill and talking like sh1t question and i am sick of them, so PLS avoid kingston product at india only cause they might sell some of them fake and some of them genuine
 
KingstonFE, while your honesty is commendable, it really doesnt help us customers ( who would rather switch to a competitor than put up with this). Please let us know when your streamlined RMA process is in place (if there is a timeline for this) , and the sooner , the better for both of us.
 
Indirectly speaking we do have a BAD product in circulation??? After all this is India, When dumped and defective pieces of Apple Iphone are being sold at exorbitant rates, and when we are pretty damn willing to buy it, i dont much see what a small product gone make a change. We follow a Chalta hai attitude, stand up voice it and then the companies would realise what is going to sell.

So SIMPLE boycott him, He aint gonna lose anything, HE IS AN MNC.

Pretty much stick on to the brands just not by their names, but with what they offer you, their SUPPORT too counts!

What if i buy any kingston product with a proper bill and appropriate amount paid from a reputed shop at lamington rd itself and only then you people find that its a fake one. Then who the hell are you gonna blame, we customers or the shop or lastly the market itself???:S

We wont feel sorry if you guys start loosing valuable customers if this what you have to offer.

Use technologies like kingston 3d hallmark logo or barcodes to counterfeit fake lookalikes of your brands. Also, provide online registration of even your smallest/cheapest products and then verify there itself whether its fake or original one so that the customer can catch hold of that shop & report accordingly.

Now it sounds as if i'm the MD of kingston and providing such solutions for my customers to save them from all hassles and also saving my dear Co.:P

And i personally feel you guys should hire people from te and then see how where we take your Co.
