anand64 has done an awesome job with the watercooling setup, and the general look/design of the cabinet, it looks pretty neat :hap2:

Yours truly was given the task of overclocking the FX-57 + OCZ Gold (UTT-BH chips) , sadly being an OC n00b with the Asus A8R32-MVP I could not wring out much out of the combo :bleh:
when did this happen ? any pics ?

Went there today, it sucked. Just stalls with products on display. When in a gaming expo there are stalls selling products which help you lose weight(no kidding two stalls related to this) you know what its like. The highlight of the expo was the watercooled crossfire setup. But to show it off they put a dumbass who only kept saying 'its two graphics cards sir'. really expected better from itdepot. even in their stall the guy there didnt know a thing.

Yep I heard from him that they did not have anybody 'technical' enough at the stall, perhaps you should've sneaked in and offered some of your technical expertise, i'm sure they'd have been pretty happy ;). They had a demo of Half Life 2 or something running on the system, and on the big screen it looked almost movie-like I believe.

Some idiot even walked up to them and told that he had 2 x 6800 cards which had similar performance! :S

hey, i will be in blr tomorrow for a day. and since i don't know any thing about blr, can anybody guide me to skoar. from the airport, and what would be the best way to get there in a taxi? Also how much would it cost? is ther a prepaid taxi thing? Any help would be welcome.

Guys i am going there now at half past three, any TE memebers I could meet there? I'll be wearing a german soccer team jersey if u wanna spot me....black and white with three stripes down the front and i have bushy hair now ;)

very funny.... those dumbasses :bleh: See they needed vandy boy there... Pity I was too busy @ digit ;)

^ If you were there, they'd have a stall with a rig hidden behind curtains and only your words to describe the rig and its performance

Just kidding :bleh:

How much did u manage out of it ? Benchies please

The earlier watercooling setup wasnt managing temps properly, and with 1.55v the FX-57 was reaching insanely high temps of ~ 63C . That was severely affecting stability - additional Vcore would only increase temps and further affect stability, 3.07 Ghz was the max i was able to get absolutely stable , of course this was done with normal non-a/c room temps. SuperPi 1M runs were fine @ 3.15Ghz though.

Mark II of the rig had the Swiftech watercooling setup on it.. and that was doing much much better, however I had time to work on it for only a day that too with an A8R32-MVP instead of a DFI. The Swiftech setup was cooling the CPU as well as the 2 X1900XTX's in parallel - both loaded up, the temps would beak 54C, which was much better and reasonable considering the heat put out by the gfx cards. I locked this in @ 3.05Ghz since I did not have much time to test for stability , plus the board was tough to work on with regards to the memory timings and stuff.

Hadnt taken my cam along so didnt take any pics. The total time i spent in the place was like 15 min :P

Hi guys, I went on Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty full everyone seemed to be gaming the PS2 zone and the Logitech gaming area. Logitech had a really cool watercooled setuo X1900 cross fire by the looks of it and cooled by a swiftech kit. Games were being played on Onida LCD tvs i think, onida i can say for sure. One setup was running NFS UG2 I think, the other doom 3. PS2 zone was pretty neat with PSPs as well as PS2s, unfortunately there was no xbox to be seen anywhere, i was looking to buy some old xbox games for my x360. Lots of people were playing CS at a couple of booths. I think this was a good effort by SKOAR and DIGIT at an gaming expo. Oh and there were some 3d animation schools booths too.

I have no clue what got into the itdepot folks that they decided to run BH-5 on an asus board :P. 54 is a real nice temp :). More importantly, what were the video cards running at?

^ The BH-UTT was initially being used on the DFI nF4 board + 7800GTs in SLI (Pity, I had worked hours tweaking and tightening the timings on the OCZ BH, now if only they would've made 2GB Winbond-style kits the experiments would've been worthwhile :bleh: ). The Asus + Crossfire was a last minute change to the setup, though the gfx cards were a huge improvement!

Core speeds for the X1900 cards were easily maxed out in the CCC, Mem speeds were at 782 or so IIRC - dint fly too high since the RAM ICs on one card were running without Ram-sinks (there werent enough RAM-sinks for both cards I guess). ATI tool would've pitched it up further, but again there wasnt enough time :)

Some pics (The originals were in GIF, so quality is a bit poor - will replace if I get the JPGs of em):
