'Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light' thread!

The game's great, just finished with my friend yesterday itself! The good thing about this game is, it has the BEST autosaves I've seen and also it doesnt frustrate one to start from scratch if you happen to die. THis makes the game a lot more fun and doesn't punish the player! Most move-based games PUNISH the player, like Prince of Persia series, God of War, you have to start all the way from the checkpoint back again! Boring!
 
OMG assassin's creed 2 isn't boring? I've been playing the game for 2 hours every month (since April/may) and i never have the enthu to play a lil more. Sure the story and gfx is nice, but if you say that isn't repetitive then i would strongly disagree with you.

The best game i would say to be non boring is the God of War series, just completed Ghost of Sparta and have to say its one of the best games i've played this year along with Mass effect 2 <3

A quick question - I suppose the game has local co-op? Roomie has another X360 controller and we just completed Shank co-op campaign yesterday. Might as well start another co-op campaign - was so much fun with another human player lol. :P
 
Yep. It supports both, online and offline co-op. My brother and I are playing it with mouse and keyboard & the 360 controller, receptively.

LOL what can I say - my roomie had enough of me and got himself a new GPU to run NFS HP and a X360 controller as well. :D
 
Hey, anyone had issues with save files being lost? I had already finished the single player and was replaying Spider tomb yesterday to get some achievements I had skipped earlier. Suddenly, the game crashed to desktop. When I started it again all my progress, unlocked weapons, relics, artifacts, costumes.. all gone :(
 
OMFG the co-op mode is mindblowing! Got hold of my roomie's X360 controlle and tagged along a colleague of mine after lunch. Completed about 6 chapters in a single sitting and took a break for a short nap.

There seems to be few differences between the single player campaign and the co-op mode although the storyline and chapters are essentially the same. The co-op player can play as either Totec or Lara. Totec can wield a shield and a spear (a la the spear in SP campaign Lara uses). The shield can be used to intercept arrows and other projectiles from hostiles and can as well be used to help Lara reach higher grounds as shown in the screenshot below. OTOH Lara can as well help Totec climb with her grapple and Lara can shoot the grapple to the golden rings and Totec can walk over it to reach otherwise inaccessible places.





The game has kept us engrossed like mad and he has decided to stay back at our place and order dinner from a nearby restaurant! :P

Should be done with the game by tonight. xD
