Received HDD yesterday afternoon. Well packed by aasimenator.
Couldn't test it yet as system is not detecting it. Have ordered molex to sata cables from amazon.

Is there any better or quicker way of knowing which drives have the power disable feature? If it's possible to know then I will ship the Molex to SATA adapter with the drives themselves, so buyers don't have to go sourcing these around.

Yes, but who has Kapton tape lying around in their house? also, that tape is usually 300-500 bucks, and the Molex adapter is around 100.

I used the normal electrical insulation tape which works just as fine or just pry the hell out of that offending pin .. lol

Why not just test with an open bench/typical pc setup which you do anyway for giving those health reports?

Got the HPE 12 TB HDD from aasim. As usual, everything was packed expertly. I had asked him to increase warranty period, since the default 7 days wouldn't be enough and he very graciously added an extra 7 days. He also put up with numerous questions and changes in shipping details.

Can't leave feedback since I've already left it once on this thread, but consider this my additional positive and very happy feedback.
