Would be a pain to arrange for warranty though which is their other big selling point as round trip will take at least weeks not to mention extra costs.serverpartdeals has good deals as well if someone wants to import in bulk and resell.
Seagate Store | eBay StoresCant seem to find buy link the seagate page is invalid.
yeah, its unfortunately ****ed for peeps like us because of customs, its only bulk importers/resellers who will be able to import and have it make financial senseserverpartdeals has good deals as well if someone wants to import in bulk and resell.
Also this Seagate pricing is way off. You can get 20TB refurbished drive for 100$ less than what they are asking for 22TB.Seagate Store | eBay Stores

nah? sounds about right to me. generally prices in US go anywhere from my 13-15$/tb, so 300$ for 22 sounds reasonable to meAlso this Seagate pricing is way off. You can get 20TB refurbished drive for 100$ less than what they are asking for 22TB.
You're literally paying 50$/tb for last 2TBs in this case.nah? sounds about right to me. generally prices in US go anywhere from my 13-15$/tb, so 300$ for 22 sounds reasonable to me

22TB & larger drives are a niche category using HM-SMR/HA-SMR tech not compatible with typical consumer hardware/software so they command a premium. Is there something else about the 22TB model that’s better than the 20TB on Serverpartdeals for $211?
I'll take those 6 drives for 30.7k plsBuy 2 @ 15500/-
Buy 4 @ 15200/-
My setup is mainly usff & nuc devices and they can't take in 3.5" disks.Besides the above post there is one thing to keep in mind, some of these enterprise class drives come with a feature that makes them not work with typical sata power connector found in typical psu used in normal pc so need to use molex to sata adapter for such drive models (you can check out the details in my posts on page 9 of this thread).
Thanks. I was thinking more along the lines of these products.USB external enclosures are not recommended for continuous operations, they will cause issues with the drives and may also corrupt data.
The 2Bay NAS I was selling recently is something that might be worth it. you can also look at other 2Bay NAS's on Amazon, please don't go with USB enclosures.
Yes, they are bad. You can also go with something like Synology 4-bay NAS that went on sale on flipkart recently. Use it for NAS, connect rest of your setup using NFS/SMB.If these are equally bad in the long run, then I guess a dedicated nas build or an off the shelf nas is more preferrable.
Yes they are equally bad, Instead of going with Orico enclosure which is USB get something which is a proper NAS, as mentioned by @napstersquest there was a sale recently which bought the price of a Synology 4 bay nas down to 12K i believe which was really good value.Thanks. I was thinking more along the lines of these products.

OT, but could you please point me to a few sources or explain why?USB external enclosures are not recommended for continuous operations, they will cause issues with the drives and may also corrupt data.
