:oops:, Sorry to see this, Looks like the courier boys mishandled it. Good that Mdcomputers are prompt with their replacement......That wait though, It's just too much!!.

I don't think so, they have to give him a replacement anyway.
It is in the middle of the screen all the way from top to bottom. It does not look like the courier's fault. The box is heavily damaged, and the bubble wrap is spotless. Which leads me to believe it was already damaged before md shipped it to me. Another dealer also told me the reason for discount most likely is damaged box and even he has shipped damaged box products at lower prices. I hope they replace it fast, was hoping to get it before GOW Ragnarok release :(

Just curious. I don't understand what they would get out of it, 1. They would have bought insurance from the courier so now the courier pays for a broken product. or 2. They may have broken the product by accident, but now they will report back to the distributor saying the product was delivered to them broken as reported by a customer (which is you). in either cases, it is extremely unfair, and MDComputers business should be shunned.

Mdcomp is def at fault and probably what you said they wanted to do by pricing it way lower.

That's some positive news. Are you using the 48 inch C1?. Isn't that a bit too big to be used as a monitor?

What's the standard warranty of the TV?. Is 5 years including in the standard warranty?
How much did you pay for the extra warranty?

Sorry for too many questions
Yes 48 - use it in living room sort of set up with my PC attached. It would be far to big for a tabletop setup.

I think it comes with 3 years. Paid around 10K extra if iirc

So, I can also share my thoughts here. Since I am on a similar setup for more than 6 months now.

I have the LG c1 48-inch as a monitor connected to my MacBook, Xbox and Gaming PC. While it's really nice for content consumption ( though OTT rather than PC or mac OS ), and gaming via both PC and Xbox.

It's not at all good for office work, coding etc. I find myself coding on my Macbook Pro 16 screen only. I have thought of moving back to my LG Ultrafine 5k monitor. Since I am working/reading 80% of the time, and I already have a 65-inch OLED in another room, with a proper sound system and all, which I use for consuming content and gaming on Xbox. So my LG C1 48 inch on my desk is off most of the time since I am only working on that desk. When I want to consume content, I go to another room with a proper setup. So, the only time I really am able to use the LG C1 and be happy about it is when I play something on the gaming PC ( which is very rare these days ) or I want to watch something rather quietly in my room alone.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I think 48 Inch is a little too big to be used as a monitor. That's probably the reason why LG brought the 42 incher this year.

But does the TV allow you to resize the screen while maintaining the aspect ratio?. In other words, can you simulate a 27 inch and 24 inch screen size in your C1, while leaving the unused screen space just black ?

Curious as to why you feel it's not great for coding? Is it just size or something else?

I've been using it for heavy web browsing / text consumption and actually prefer it to my Monitor or Laptop screen for that. (at 300%)

Perhaps you need to look at the small font of code sitting way back which causes eye strain?

Hey Guys, Thanks for all your suggestions. I purchased the 42 inch C2 from Reliance digital yesterday for 73500, It was a very good price. The showroom guy said they took stock of the item during Diwali, but it went unsold, So they are selling it to me for the same offer price which was in their system and has not been updated since.

Will share pics of it and more details once I receive it.

That's a good price. I am also thinking to get this LG C2. Now need to go to local showroom.
