Anyone planning to get it??
I feel i am going through some kind of obsessive compulsive disorder of changing tablets and still not yet decided

went through ipad3, ipad mini, BB playbook, Tab 2, ainol spark, Nexus 7 2013, and few more

everything is a compromise in some way

Right now planning to order the LG tablet to see if its also a compromise

In the meantime if anyone wants a nexus 7 2013 32gb wifi then pm me, it will be up for sale

and if anyone already got the gpad please update with a small review

What are you looking for in a tab? The Nexus 7 and iPad are considered one the best tablets today, and cater to both the Android and iOS crowd. If you are not satisfied with them, exactly what are you looking for?

I was listening to the Android Police / Android Central podcast and they bashed this tablet a lot.

It has its pros but they are not recommending it. I would suggest to reach before getting this one.

ipad 3 was very nice but it ws really heavy for book reading(my primary use) and as usual didnt like the cumbersome file system, same pdf file has to be uploaded to different apps hence waste of storage if you want to use both apps

ipad mini screen was horrible for pdfs with diagrams and small texts

Nexus 7 is excellent but again after usaing for a month the screen feels too small

ipad air as well as ipad mini retina are out of my budget right now so am not considering them,

Gpad can be most possibly bought for around 26-27k[DOUBLEPOST=1384878499][/DOUBLEPOST]

but i went through lot of youtube reviews!!

no one was bashing it[DOUBLEPOST=1384879393][/DOUBLEPOST]http://www.androidcentral.com/lg-g-pad-83-review

"I’ve never met an Android tablet that’s more capable, more gorgeous, or more easy to use. Its lightweight and premium design is the ideal balance of size and portability, and that 8.3-inch display is as stunning as LG has spoiled us with in the past. The G Pad’s custom UI avoids feeling overwhelming, while its bevy of useful custom features make the G Pad more than just a toy."

Where is the bashing bro????

Nopes that is perhaps one that I skipped
I was getting that good deal on eBay when I contacted you for advice but just didn't want to go into that 10inch territory after iPad and Samsung ativ smart pc

Honestly, Ipad Air with full body protectors or decals will work wonders for you. Dont put any covers in it. But just the front and back protectors. The device is very light.

The file system, yea. But my cloudreader app for comics. Let me transfer files to and fro very easily through itunes. Dunno if anything comparable for pdfs.

But since you already blew so much money, do take a look at this.

Can't afford more than 25k this time
I mean after selling nexus 7 that is
But I don't think even 16gb Wi-Fi will cone in that price bracket

I would still suggest a N10. It was very light and I could hold it with just one hand. The resolution might take some getting used to at first, especially when reading but it was a dream to read on. I read 7-8 books in just 1 week when I had the N10. The deep blacks of the Samsung display are an added bonus IMO because due to that I could read at even very low brightness as the White letters against such deep blacks looked very clear.

Lol boy, I used his/purchased his old tablet and i used N10. I know how similar they are and he will find it the same.

Oh, ok. My recommendations would have been the Air right now or the Mini Retina just like you suggested but that aren't available in his budget. I loved my iPad 4 but just like him, found it to be very heavy for reading and like always hated iOS.

Why not wait for the new n10 and get that.. It sure would be amazing.. And I don't know why you guys think he will hate it I absolutely love my n10 and n7 Fhd... I can't see any reason for not trying LG tab, it has received rave reviews everywhere I have read

This is why neither the current N10 or the new N7 will work for him. Its not about the mentioned tablets are bad or inadequate. It just wont be usable for him. He is a doctor and guess this will be used in hospitals and all.
So don't guess he can tell the patient to scooch over so that he can lie on the bed, prop the tablet in his hand and read. He will be standing or walking and mostly holding the tab in one hand.

29k retina mini will be 16gb right?

A major pros of the LG tablet is the micro sd slot, many a times i miss that feature. Recently i was travelling and took some pics on a camera (a micro sd card with SD adapter)
I had not taken my laptop with me, I so much wanted to take the micro sd out and put it in Nexus & to see the results on the bigger screen but .....
The main reason for rooting the nexus 7 was also to enable the OTG and LG supports it OOB as told by users, stock rom is also not hanging or rebooting.

I would have definitely liked to buy the ipad mini retina as it comes closest to being perfect but right now the LG G PAD looks second closest to me!![DOUBLEPOST=1384922912][/DOUBLEPOST]Has the ipad retina been launched in india and if yes its pricing?[DOUBLEPOST=1384923148][/DOUBLEPOST]http://gadgets.ndtv.com/tablets/new...ice-revealed-november-29-launch-likely-445594

I wont have much internet access everywhere in hospital and then i will miss the only book that i wont be having at that point of time!! lol
and most books are not small as they are proper textbooks and not just text files 10mb to 400mb but as you said ipads are closest to perfection with just that closed garden and pricing stopping us from entering their ecosystem
