Apparently Z2300 has better bass, and is more powerful at 200W RMS as compared to 90W RMS of the AL MX5021.....right cletus?

According to who? Looks like you've never heard the MX before...or you must like that boomy kind of bass that autowaalaas are famous for.
Bass should be clean and low, raise the volume and all the 2300 will give you is thud-thud
