Hey!

Need help with respect to inner earphones.

Have kinda shortlisted Sennheiser CX 175 and CX 300 II. Could anyone please suggest which one is better?

Also, open to suggestions if there is any other better than the above 2 in the price range 2-3k.

Need help as I desperately need a good pair of earphones and I'm unable to decide!

Thanks!

i had senheiser CX300 and they are quite good , good bass and and loud output , the mids and highs are also ok , but im not really sure whether its worth spending near 3k on CX300 . If u bassy sound then they are good , also sennheiser warranty is 2 years and they have good ASS ..

the CX300 lasted for little less than 2 years and then i got CX 400 II in replacement which finally died after 2 years more recently ..

i have skullcandy Ink'd also which i feel is even more bassy than CX400 with more punch ( got it because it has mic as well ) , i liked the sound quality and felt its almost as good as sennheisers i had and with more bass .. Skullcandy Riot is even better than this .. so u can get that for ~ 1.3k ..

@sharangaba
Firstly let people know what kinda music you would like to listen to , followed by what kinda details you are expecting from the earphones .
Sennheiser and Skullcandy in that range are like bass ringers in the ear with not much clarity . I have personally tried CX-180 and a Skullcandy model (dont remember name) . I liked the CX-180 but there are much better earphones at that price point now.
In 2k-3k budget the options are the new lineup of Soundmagic,Vsonic GR-02 Bass edition and Brainwavz m2 from India

@ flux I listen to many genre's honestly unsure what genre's most of the songs I like come under. But i do know i dont listen to heavy metal and less of rap n hip-hop. I'm someone who listens to the music part than d lyrics. Will post the kinda songs i like once home. Yes, i want bass n yes i would clear music with good lows n highs n mid (sounds just perfect) so im seeking advice on the ideal earphones in the budget 2-3k.
I listen to stuff like coldplay, paul van dyk, deadmau5, Hans zimmer, David guetta, atb, bryan Adams, linkin park, the wanted, script, usher, avicii, kyau & Albert, Calvin Harris, gym class heroes, skrillex, nickelback, Katy Perry, Chris brown (a bit), Sia, nicki minaj (a bit) taio Cruz, adele ofcourse and few others.....so u see its pretty diverse....hence asking an input on what would be ideal!!

From all your points these are the IEM's you can consider --
Hope this helps, Cheerio!

What source will you use to power these IEM's, dedicated MP3 player (which brand), cell phone (brand + model)?

iPOD touch..... btw, how would the UE 350 be in comparison to Brainwavz M2?

and one more thing, what's the criteria to judge which one's better than the other, if you know.....would like to know so I can judge better!

also listen to electronic, house, trance, alternative rock, pop, dubstep, a bit of R n B n Hip hop!

One word - Listen!

The evaluation of which IEM is 'better' is not scientific, but more subjective and purely depends on your own ears. Audio lingo is a mere approximation. Secondly, it is not one factor (bass/mids/treble/sound stage) or another, but how the combination sounds and makes you feel about it. So, just listen to the songs you've heard many times over and see how the IEM suits you.

Never used the Ultimate Ears 350 so cannot comment, also with the music you listen you are definitely stilted towards bass heavy IEM's.

@esanthosh and @abhi_jollyguy and @titana can help you sort out better. Hope this helps, Cheerio!

There's a possibility I MIGHT just go in for UE 400. Any advise on how it is? Or should I stick to UE 350? Btw, I'm even considering buying the UE 400 coz its relatively chaper on a particular site (Not sure if I'm allowed to share link or not, so haven't shared yet)) I'm getting it for 3.1K thats for UE 400 and UE 300 is costing 2k odd UE 350 VI costing 2.3K but is out of stock!
