I have been looking to build a new PC. I have a spare 3070 which I bought for 1 lakh during peak mining era .
So I would like to hold on to that for some more time.

I have narrowed down to Intel 14600k as it seems to be perfect for mixed productivity and gaming usecase at the price point.

I won't be upgrading for 4-5 years atleast. Hence, the advantage of AM5 regarding upgrade path don't concern me.

I have question regarding motherboard for the 14600k. Should I go with B760m Asrock sonic or Z790m Aorus Elite?

Price difference is around 5500.
B760m won't allow overclock. But does overclocking justify this price difference?

Any inputs will be helpful.

Do not buy i5 14600K. Pay a bit more & buy R9 7900 + B650 if you are serious about productivity. It will shoot up the budget by 10k but you get a faster CPU with no issues & a much better platform (AM5 will get atleast 1 more CPU generation).

Do note that you can't even undervolt 14600K on a B760 mobo, need a Z790 for even that. Considering Intel issues happened due to extra voltage, better to have voltage control & keep chip in check if opting for Intel. So get the Z790M Aorus Elite, if opting for Intel.
