Looking for an real upgrade HTC desire HD or iPhone 4

Sold my iPhone 3GS today and planning to get a decent phone :)

So guys please take me through the right path :)

Um, there are two different things being compared here - screen technology and screen resolution. When it comes to screen technology, SLCD > IPS LCD (iPhone) > AMOLED (ONLY ranked below because of sunlight readability, otherwise in terms of richness, it beats the living daylights out of other two technologies).

In terms of screen resolution iPhone 4 is obviously at an advantage because of its 'retina' display. However a lot of new phones coming to the market have a qHD resolution which is equally sharp.

So there.
