Logitech X-530 Speaker System Review

& Guys dont flame me for this choice.THis set is balanced enough for gaming, movies nd plane jane music.Nothing compared to MX 5021 in music though. But its a better compromise between all the speakers u have listed.

If all you care is music quality, then get the mx5021. If you can spend more, get a pair of studio monitors.

Is studio monitors are 2.0 system?? How much will it cost?? where can i get it in hyderabad??

Can you tell me a system for reasonably well all music, movie and also for gaming within 10k. I know it will not be best for either of one, but good for all.

I have to take one more same system for my younger brother but within 4-5k.

Can’t you give me you cell no. so that I can call you and ask the same.
I will be grateful.

Well here's the deal then... Get the mx5021 for music and get a low end 5.1 like 251 for games etc for ur younger brother. Active studio monitors will set you back by around 15 grand.

If I ask you the same for me also (surround, good combination of all music, movies and games) what will be your choice?? Around 10k

Does Altec not have a good 5.1 system?? How are creative in my range??

There's no 5.1 that you'll get arnd that price thats good for music heh :P. Altec stopped making surround speakers a while back.

then what is the least price for that?? and which brand model no.??

How about the creative??

Z 5300 !! will it solve the other two purposes?? what is its disadvantage in music??

sonu, the only good 5.1 PC speakers I know of, are Creative Megaworks, and Klipsch promedia 5.1. Both cost at least 25k, and the MX5021 is still better for sheer audio quality :P

Z5300 isnt really worth it. If you want surround, buy Altec 251 and save money :P

How about Logitech X530?? I have gone through the links, they have been rated fairly well for all music, movies and gaming.

For music Altec is best now I agree with this. But which one is still best:

1. MX5021 - 90w - 7.2k
2. FX6021 - 80w - 9.2k

why 2nd one is costlier as MX.. is THX certified, more power.
I dont think FX... has any extra feature. both have wireless remote control.

can you explain this?

How about Logitech X530 if I want both music and surround?
I have gone through the links, they have been rated fairly well for all music, movies and gaming.

These are my final choices:

1. either of MX.. or FX... (whichever you recommend, MX.. has better looks)
2. Logitech X530 - 5.5k

Please help me making final decision considering I want both music and surround.

Thanks

Line array... which means a bigger soundstage.

bigger soundstage means??

If I go for MX... which is the best VFM sound card and also best for MX..
I can buy as I'll be having some part of my current budget.

I already have realtec HD 8 channel on board sound.
My MB is ASUS P5 (Intel 945 chipset). Do I require extra sound card for MX....??

What is your priority for my brother's speakers considering the same preference as mine for a budget of around 4-5k.

Thanks for helping me making real good decisions.

Well soundstaging is the ability of a speaker to disappear aurally... i.e. with the best speakers, sound does not seem localized and coming from the direction of the speaker. It seems to come out naturally as if a virtual "stage" of musicians were created in front of you by the speakers. Line arrays are a lot of small drivers arranged in a row... they naturally create larger soundstages than normal speakers. Strictly speaking, the FX6021 is a pseudo line array. Real line arrays such as the Dali Megaline cost a bomb... I mean a serious bomb.... tens of thousands of dollars :P.

Thanks for quick reply.

Please give suggestions for sound card and also for an another sysetm around 4-5k for surround+music.

For 4-5k, get a vs4121 if you only want music or 251 if you want surround. If you can get an x530, thats okay as well. For soundcard, get an sb live 24bit/audigy se whatever its called now.

Which one is the best out of these for surround+music:

1. Altec
2. Logitech
3. Creative

Any 5.1 model one around 10k and another around 5k.

This is my last and final query.

Once again Thanks for your all suggestions.

^^For 10k, forget 5.1... just get an mx5021. For 5k, get either the vs4121 if you want stereo or the x530 if you want surround. Simply put, you won't get music quality and surround at the same time in that 5-10k budget.
